Icor
I didn't want to delete him, and I didn't not want to delete him. I had a lot of ideas left, but with all the talk of the PWIPE kinda creeped me out of getting him going on anything. Flesico’s score sheet showed 350 hours. Basically, I thought Mathicus was enormously boring to play, so I took most of his attributes and flipped them around for Flesico. Strangely enough, it didn’t make for a good Herald at all, which is why I wish Ravanex would have kept chugging along. Somehow, our characters always clash. It’s hilarious. =D I originally had a friend writing an opera with me, and that would have been fantastic. We actually got a few acts scripted in, but then she went to Europe or something and it all went to mush. I tried pretty hard to get Flesico involved in some plots, but didn’t want him to be a key player either. It was tempting sometimes to post in Shout-outs, but it kinda helped the immersion better for me in the end in avoiding it. Anyway, props time: Isadora: Thank you for putting up with Flesico. I’m sure you noticed some opposites in his personality to my previous persona, and what’s funny, Isa’s made some changes since then as well. Corinkorth: Brilliant! Too bad near the end I started becoming more infrequent. Personal interaction would have been a lot better than flying notes. Dinkirus, Eod, Ravanex, Anadyomene, Arturous, Khranin, Iehwu: Roleplaying up close with Heralds always feels like secret cult meetings for some reason, despite the innocent nature of it all. I’m glad there were so many of you around during that time, keeping up could be challenging. Iehwu was -fantastic-. When you have more than one rebel breaking tradition, you can really start to move around with the concept more. Khranin, very well played. Always shoot high! No point in going through smaller plots if you think you can take on the biggest ones. Didn't have enough time talking to Dinky, Eod, Ravanex, and Arturous, sadly, but I still know that they did well. Malchaeius: Imms really need to play Lestinari-type characters more often. You did it perfectly. There was a sense of realism to Lestinari that made it easy to respond to and communicate with. When you’re confronted by a Demon God, it is hard to know how your character should respond. Lestinari, in my mind, was your crowning achievement during that plot; of course, I only saw the surface, but still. Galdora: Mysterious character. Very rich performance. I forget the name of a few others. There was a woman who brought a few tomes about spiritual possession to Flesico, and she mentioned our RP in the shoutouts. Someone also RPed with him in the Red Dragon and it was very interesting, but I don’t remember his name either.
HBwillie
Great character. The Red Dragon fellow might've been Filnif.

Dobson
Heh, you are right and I think it is because we are both very strong in our RP and we won't let anyone change it. We need to do some ooc ganging on our chars, we are so pk heavy.
Isadora
You always leave when I'm wanting more.... Isa's pretty adolescent and goes through a lot of phases. I'm ecstatic when players give me the explore her darker sides (such as the bonfire sacrifice and her most recent dominatrix incarnation) since my natural inclination is to be too nice. What's even better was how well you took it. (Honestly, better than I expected.) I'm impressed with your ability to go from one rp extreme to the other convincingly. CruelEdict
One of the best characters I have interacted with. I strive to utilize smote/emote/pmote as well as you. It was a pity I ran out of free time for Eod, but his character just wasn't going anywhere anyhow. Again, great work.
Icor
Daah! Requior, I forgot, awesome character. I really wanted to tell that second story (be warned, it was written for a Nexus >=D). So, here it is, kind of raw from the alias window (I took the save commands out): Emote acts, “This is but another tale of the Helpful Ogre named Blunk.” Emote acts, “Most people thing ogres are dumb, but he was no lunk!” Emote acts, “One day Blunk got a letter rolled in the talons of a bird.” Emote acts, reciting, “Dear Helpful Ogre, you fix peoples lives I heard!” Emote acts, “Along on the letter was an expansive request.” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “No need to worry, Blunk do his best!” Emote acts, “It was sent by a fair man of wealthy living.” Emote acts, “Though sadly his circumstance wasn’t forgiving.” Emote acts, “After a day, Blunk arrived to hear the man out.” Emote acts, “The man explained: ‘I feel like a drained out lout’!” Emote acts, his voice high pitched, “I’m no longer happy, despite being noble!” Emote acts, his voice high pitched, “I used to explore, now I’m immobile.” Emote acts, his voice high pitched, “My wife and I divorc’d, she speaks not to me.” Emote acts, his voice high pitched, “My daughter married a beggar from the city!” Emote acts, his voice high pitched, “Oh Helpful Ogre, can you please aid?” Emote acts, his voice high pitched, “I can give plenty of gold if you want to be paid!” Emote acts, “But alas, Blunk shook his head and held up his hands.” Emote acts, “And expressed softly that he would issue no demands!” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “Worry not, rich fellow, I will roam the lands!” Emote acts, his voice still deep, “I will make it so your life is not in the sands!” Emote acts, “And with a smile Blunk turned and set off to work!” Emote acts, “To search for a way to fix the rich man’s irk.” Emote acts, “He set out to the bank with his fist plan in mind!” Emote acts, “The rich man would be freed, no longer confined!” Emote acts, “Blunk took the rich man’s banker and over his knee the banker he did fold!” Emote acts, “Then opened he the vault and removed all the gold!” Emote acts, “Blunk took the riches and dumped them in the sea’s deep blue.” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “One problem down, now there are only two!” Emote acts, “The second task was the rich man’s silly daughter.” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “Someone that foolish must meet slaughter!” Emote acts, “So Blunk tracked her down and broke her beggar husband’s neck!” Emote acts, “Then carried her away, her all emotional and in a wreck!” Emote acts, “He put her in a treasure chest and buried it in the ground.” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “Shush now, do not make a sound!” Emote acts, “Blunk then set out to find the wilily ex-wife.” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “This woman fills the rich man with too much strife!” Emote acts, “So Blunk found her home and put it to the torch!” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “For not being loyal, you’ll definitely scorch!” Emote acts, “And with the last goal reached, he had finished the deed.” Emote acts, lowering his voice, “No help more will that man need!” Emote acts, “A few days later, Blunk got another note!” Emote acts, “The parchment was poor, and a shaky hand wrote...” Emote acts, reciting, “Thank you, thank you, I am driven to tears!” Emote acts, reciting, “I haven’t been happier in all my years!” Emote acts, reciting, “I’m starving, homeless and terribly poor!” Emote acts, reciting, “But I feel again the urge to get out and explore!” Emote acts, reciting, “My bloodline won’t be tainted by that silly bum!” Emote acts, reciting, “And I won’t be lectured by the ex’ when I drink some rum!” Emote acts, “And Blunk folded the letter with a grin all a’lift.” Emote acts, “And headed off to tell tales of the wonderful Rift.” Emote dives into a long-lived bow. Oh, and thank you Isa' for the encouragement.

J.Twendrist
This makes me so sad. I really liked Flesico and really enjoyed seeing someone rp a Thespian. You did an amazing job with this character, and I look foreward to seeing more. Good luck on your next.
goldbond
i didnt like flesico much at all. imo if an RP action that didnt center around him was initiated and he had to be involved due to situation, he was basically a perfunctory PC and hastened out. even if the RP involved something that he was also involved in, just that the situation was dictated by someone else. Mudder
Goldbond: Maybe it was his characters RP to be the center of attention? I loved the fact that Flesico was gay. I was hoping you would interact with my current character... You would have loved him
goldbond
totally, i can understand that his RP was to be the center of it. i'm saying who gives a ####. all these bards in the last like 5 years who really wanted to be a shandronas in fact played in similar vein. IMO who cares. in shandronas' time, there was a full complement of real FL history makers from which to chronicle, some of which was broad enough to be god-fed. since then, the media (the bard) hyperventilates to further the IMMs own RP stuff, more fed from IMM plots than player. it's not a surprise that for years now IMMs need to initate plots rather than players. all the real life skillset of melee and magic user became more obvious, reaching its irrevocable rift by like the very beginning or even before 2.0. and so in that time people follow what new RP was IMM-given and bards like flesico were given to note it out whereas before an actual struggle of crazy-powered cabals and classes gave way to a more (my interpretation) a more INTERNALLY-battle-perfection-oriented WARMASTER not-in-any-way-competively-to-magic-users a way to participate in grand affairs. and then at some point point blademasters were created, another cabal (WATCHER)created to fit them other than the cabal they were meant for, and suddenly there is a playerbase that isnt large enough to absorb them with the same intention as they were meant for. e.g. try and actually name a real RP cabal war in the last 5 years that fits the current classes. to get back to flesico, i never experienced and was in fact left w/a bad taste in my mouth of true RP other than that of "designated REAL RP," other than that he was perfunctory. and come on this isnt some real life funeral etiquette, eh? to be fair, like all the bards of the last god knows how many years have been only very savvy IMM and legacy PC mouthpieces, save the intruiging departures like HBWIllies, and maybe like 1 other. it's just a real impression, i feel the same way of most all famous bards of the last 5 years based on the false RP of the last 5 years. Chromatic
Wow... yeah, maybe you should just keep all of that to yourself. Or post a new thread elsewhere, we're talking about Flesico here, not your cabal/class complaints.
goldbond
actually i remarked on flesico in the mold that history is now more about the bard than about the goings-on of the realm other than IMM forced plots. i saw nothing more in flesico than that, and it's no different than most chroniclers of recent memory. to be specific he was more enamored with IMM cues than real-time stuff. Icor
Mudder: Daha! A lot of people thought Flesi' was gay (I won't deny it). I preferred to call him "sexually unaffiliated", however. Pretty much devoid of libido! Goldbond: Cool man.
Zavero
He wasn't just a chronicler of history. If you read in this post he did other things than just write down IMM orientated plots. My character threatened his into writing me a story, as I did with a few other Heralds/bards and he played it out with my character and wrote Requior not one, but two stories that he may or may not have taken a lot of time on, but took the time to do it. Just because he didn't have some role play that stuck out like a sore thumb doesn't mean he is like every other bard that has been around the past five years. It just means you didn't take the time to unlock what his true role play was. And even if he did role play to some mold of other bards he did an excellent job either way. Anyhow thank you for the stories, and yes sorry I was unable to actually see the other story in game. Usually I was busy trying to kill someone or just frighten them. Pali
I do agree that cabals right now could use a bit more depth in terms of why they're at war... I've never understood really why modern Savants and Warmasters see themselves as enemies other than, in terms of game mechanics, the cabals need an enemy. However, I vehemently disagree with the statement that Flesico was just another average bard. He was not someone who had the presence of Morchial or Messalantha, but he was outstandingly well-roleplayed. I very much enjoyed interacting with him as Vhalen. CruelEdict
Agreed on all counts. Cabals seem lacking in depth, but I think a lot of that goes back to the early days of the game. I think each could use an RP-makeover, to give them more specific purpose and whatnot. As for Flesico (and to not hijack the thread too much), I eagerly await Icor's next character with hopes that it will be equally well-played. Very good work, Icor.
