Rensvert
I was at work and had a conversation about the greatest music album of all time. Not the greatest song the best album completely; in any genre of music. I personally believe the greatest album to be 'Back In Black'--AC/DC but just thought what everyone else thought. HBwillie
It's up there with Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Rensvert
I never really thought about Greatest hits albums, their not real albums though because its just a collection of greatest hits usually a lot of #1 hits none the less. But actual studio albums where ever track is brand new I'm still gonna have to say; AC/DC 'Back In Black' with a second place to Metallica's "Black Album". crackwilly21
What about Metallicas ...And Justice For All? Or Panteras Great Southern Trendkill? Or Rush's 2112? I don't too much like metallica, but and justice for all pwns the black album.
HBwillie
crackwilly, i had mad respect for you until now. maybe it was just the willie talking, but no. rush? are you kidding me? go swallow a rock. pantera is great, but not greatness. Dizz
I would have to nominate Smashmouth, 80% of that album is great! As well as Shakira: Laundry Service.
Malanith
It is impossible to rate ONE album as the greatest of all time. Too many factors involved. Are we basing it on sales? Gotta be Thriller. Number one singles? Pick a Beatles album. Most number of lame songs? Probably Celine Dion. It is simply too vague a topic. With that being said, my humble opinion goes for either Appetite for Destruction by Guns n' F'ing Roses or Ride the Lightning by Metallica. crackwilly21
crackwilly' date=' i had mad respect for you until now. maybe it was just the willie talking, but no. rush? are you kidding me? go swallow a rock. pantera is great, but not greatness.[/quote'] Listen to the first track on Rush's 2112, then say that. I don't like most of their other stuff, in fact...not really at all, but that album (mainly the first song) is friggin awesome. So do it, listen to it and then tell me that it doesn't suck. Pantera is GREATNESS, but definatley not the best out there, but you must admit, TGSTK is one of their best albums, if not the best. LISTEN TO THE RUSH ALBUM!!! 2112, is l337n355
Rensvert
If I had to say we were basing the Greatest Album of all time on something, it would probably the best over-all album every song on it included. Not going by sales, or number one singles off of it, just an album that you could put in and listen to every track on it over and over again. Gun's & Roses is a great choice, but I'm gonna have to stick with 'Back In Black'. Rens

EyeSeeU
Five Things You Didn't Know About Rush: 1.The Canadian power trio have sold More records in the U.S. than The Police, The Who, The Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Kiss, Paul Simon, R.E.M.....do we really need to go on here, people?* 2.Rush was named "Group of the Millenium" by the Harvard National Lampoon (and Harvard kids are wicked smart). 3.Rush has 2 annual, intenational fan conventions (RushCon and EuCon). Highly doubtful we'll see BritneyCon or J-LoFest anytime soon. 4.*The New Rush album Snakes + Arrows hits stores May 1st!!!* (#4 is always reserved for shameless promotion!). 5.We conducted an empirically-extensive, painstakenly-performed, no-one-held-at-gunpoint poll, backed by science, reason, logic and one thunderous drumbeat, the result of which demonstrated without question or doubt that Rush Rules (...ah, you knew that one already). Rush Album: Snakes + Arrows Release Date: May 1, 2007
HBwillie
now i'm biased but if we're doing greatest hits, eric clapton is up there. if not, guns and roses does deserve a shot.
