Pg. 1 – Wizards of the Coast

Gomanhor Corp. is proud to announce a new partnership between itself and Wizards of the Coast, makers of the famous Magic: The Gathering collectible card game. First introduced in 1993, M:TG has since brought millions of hours of entertainment to nerds (4 of which are female) the world over. It even readied the market for other ****tier games such as Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Star Wars. We now go to Gichard Rarfield, media representative for Wizards of the Coast, for an exclusive preview of what we can expect from this partnership.

Interviewer – Hello Mr. Rarfield, thank you for meeting with us to discuss the latest development in the Magic and Forsaken Lands worlds.

GR – Latest development indeed, Mr. Interviewer. Both Wizards of the Coast and Aabahran’s gods have high expectations for this project.

Interviewer – Lets get straight to the point: how close are we to seeing the final product?

GR – Well that depends. Umm… to tell the truth, some of the gods has not been very forthcoming with providing information. We refuse to make a card unless its content has been researched in detail. And much of this research has to be done through the likes of Roykagh, Anume, and yes, even Malchaeius.

Interviewer – Why does this obstacle exist?

GR – Who the hell knows? Who knows why the gods do what they do? Nobody, that’s who. All we can do is sit and wait as they slowly feed information to us.

Interviewer – Can you tell us what kind of information you require to make a card?

GR – That depends on the card. Lets take, for example, Mahn-Tor. We need a picture of him, drawn or photographed it doesn’t matter as long as it looks good. Next, we need to do some combat testing to determine his power and toughness. This is done by throwing all sorts of monsters at him.

Interviewer – I’m sure Mahn-Tor’s seemingly infinite lives helps out at this stage.

GR – It sure does, it sure does. I don’t know what we’d do without those repops. We also need to determine how much energy is required to summon Mahn-Tor to another realm. We do this by having a priest summon him and measuring the mana fluctuations with our Energy-o-Meter.

Interviewer – That sounds very interesting Mr. Rarfield. How many cards can we expect to see? Will one be made for every being and item in Aabahran?

GR – We’re not entirely sure. As with all collectible card games, the materials produced after the first edition depends entirely upon sales. Good sales, then we make more. Bad sales, then we have to move on to something else. There are exceptions, of course, but those involve kneepads and frankly Wizards of the Coast no longer has the need to stoop that low.

Interviewer – It is my understanding that you have actually brought some of the cards with you?

GR – You understand correctly Mr. Interviewer. Here are some of the nearly 400 cards planned for the Forsaken Lands set. Enjoy!

Pg. 2 – Publication Announcement

Let it be known that due to timing conflicts, publication difficulties, and laziness, all future Theran Daily Blabs will be one page in length only. It is Gomanhor’s belief that this will increase the rate at which TDB’s are produced at an acceptable cost to content quantity. Content quality will remain just as high as before.

Brilliant, Gomanhor, you never cease to amaze me. The tribunal headquarters is the best one there, cept maybe the herald library.
