Now I wont go into the gory details but...
As some/most of you know (maybe) Liadon the Elf is trying to unite the Elves and Drow. A crazy moved and for someone so new prolly completely ridiculous. However I am VERy determined to see something happen in that regard.
In any case I was told to bring up my idea here in the forums to see how one might go about doing it.
There where two obvious exits for Lia:
1.)
ALL Elves and Drow unite as one people, which this would almost be impossible if only for a LONG time where there are Elves and Drow that are super concrete in there opinions and lifestyles.
2.)
A WHOLE NEW group / kingdom is created that supports a new lifestyle for both Drow and Elves which defy's what has been known for as long as anyone can remember, "Drow and Elves become one people, again." I'm not completely sure on the games mechanics but with the suggestion of bringing it up here, I was informed that some people have been looking into adding more races to the Neutral capable list. What better way to add two races to this list while creating a new diverse group.
I mean... is this a good idea? If not is there any way to tweak it so it can be?
if it comes to RP PK storyline I'm totally willing to hit the FL Gym and work my but off to get to where I need to be to make this happen. I already planned on making another character and using that as a learning tool after I max out Liadon the Adventurer. Sort of freezing her in time as I learn the game fully with a character that can have the **** kicked out of them and allowing me to fully learn the game without sacrificing a fully fleshed out character.
ANYWAYS!
Help? Please?
Lol, anything is possible within Forsaken Lands.
Well, at the bare minimum you should get a character to 50 before attempting something so grand. I've done what you suggested plenty of times (rolling a separate character to learn with while having a fleshed out RP char).
For Liadon, now, I'm sure you could get quite a bit of support but it's due to the forum and not the character (IMO). For instance, I only know of Liadon through the forum - I've had no in-game interaction with her (no attempt on either side). If you were in the 50 PK range though, it is much more likely we would have interacted...and thus your goals would have more pull (with me anyway).
I don't know the specifics of Liadon's religion, etc - but if you chose cleric as her class, you would probably do very well learning not only the game, but basic PK mechanics. And, you will also probably get a lot of advice along the way even if you do get killed. Just log all of your fights and read them after you quit. You will learn and it will take some of the sting out of the death.
For someone expecting to unite ELVES and DROWS...I would expect there to be some longevity, some "seasoned veteran" in the character. I think it would be awesome to do this with your first char (or first serious char anyway)
if your good, and start hob-nobbing with evils (drows) you will end up outcasted from good.
and Mr. Beer is right, you should get something to 50, and experience the game at this level before really trying to set your heart on some grandeose theme.
The game is quite cut-throat at 50, your enemies will be relentless and you will die...a lot...before you get a handle on things. Not trying to break you down or anything, but I think you should realize the reality of things within FL.
(fyi, the pink text is horrid to look at)
Hmmm.....
I see one teensy tiny major problem here.
PK skill here is WAY up. While it's more than possible to "freeze" Lia in time while you learn PK, know this: Character turn over rate here is HUGE. Or it was. While you're learning PK, everyone Lia knows is going to con-die or more likely "go away". All the people Lia knows now will be gone or dead.
And while it's nice to have such ambitious goals, I cannot get behind a neutral drow. Never really liked neutral elves either....elves are already such arrogant little stuck up....
There was a neutral drow bard I believe. And you best believe my drow thief Shyntril plagued the **** out of him for abandoning Lloth.
No you're right, I was wondering if in-game I could say Lia left the Forsaken Lands all-together and went back to her home country (it was a loose story I created for why Lia is such a stranger to the lands. Not sure if we can do such a thing... can i?)
But yeah, I want to see what it's like with a PKing character... are there any suggestions for a new player to go with? This person will have a little story but it'll be more focused on learning the game.
I suppose I should ask, I want to make a "one-man-army" character. One that wont need to be dependent on outside help within any sort of fight. I don't mean by any means a walking tank but a character than I can use to kill some other characters while experiencing death myself.
LoL

The essays forum is a great place to start. I am horrible at PK, but I can tell you now, there is no class that is a "one-man-army", they should all carry consumables, however, Healer is the most defensive from my experience and used properly people will have a hard time killing you, however, I'm not sure that you can kill any other players with a healer.
If you're looking for pure offensive might while still having basic things like sanctuary and bless handy all the time, my suggestion would be paladin, melee survivability, a couple good nifty offensive spells, and GREAT defenses.
Even if people think they need kick and flail.
Edit: They're extremely survivable, and this is just my take on it, I had troubles with certain places as a ranger I didn't as a paladin (I think Ranger is the other common suggestion).
You know what?
What kind of character hasn't FL seen in a while? I'm willing to play a female or a male character, any race and class. It can be totally random silly, or serious and scary. Seems like there are a lot of evil characters in FL... is there a need for more good ones?
You don't want something that hasn't been seen in a while for learning PK.
I strongly recommend a Dwarf Blademaster in Warmaster. Go the Gladiator path. You will be a one dwarf army.
You're right Valek, for learning PKing I shouldn't be something so foreign. Dwarven Bladmaster... that sounds kind of fun, and I don't see to many dwarves running around. Maybe I'll do that.
Thanks Val!
I would say good cleric, then evil cleric. Reasoning. You have cure crit, and access to food and water. These will make the environment easier to handle. Good cleric will draw you less enemies as a whole alignment won't be able to pk you. Evil cleric will really put you into the fire, but it is VERY strong to pk with, still gives great survivability, and you can learn to live a cut throat life with no friends, or have friends where you choose, and learn what being betrayed feels like.
So good Cleric, then Bad Cleric and maybe a Dwarven Blademaster somewhere in there.
So a Dwarven, Lawfull Good Cleric. Sounds like I am going to have fun killing baddies!
wiggles with glee

Nice choice, sweetheart.
cough combat religion cough
Yup, I choose that as his religion so no worries.
A Cleric of War with a "heroic" perk... right? It's a perk? Either way he hunts down evil... and messes it up.
Or will try rather.
Just remember...Lawful means you won't break city laws.
No attacking in towns.
Keep your weapons sheathed.
No faerie fogging/fiering in town.
No summoning mobs into town.
Even if there isn't a Justice around.
Liadon, I would also reccomend reading pk logs of classes you are playing (or planning to play). Both when your class wins and loses, you can save yourself a lot of grief by reviewing others mistakes and successes.
Oh no I'm aware I need to keep this guy in check and I'll be checking up on the rules/laws of the land to make sure I don't break any of them intentionally. He's going to be a very angry, "evil sucks" kind of character and WILL NOT get along with any evil doers. I seen another thread about killing other players... well I aim to kill evil. of any kind. Maybe raising an army to attack a specific place.
shrugs possibilities are endless and I see many individuals always biting at the bit to kill something.
Besides all that I'm curious how this PKing will go.
