Deptore
You know when I first started playing this game I only played goods, and not even because of the rp but because I thought they were easier. I took a break off for a while because of moving around a lot and came back to start playing evils and recently I've just made another goodie and man...what happened? Maybe my memory is failing me but it seems like most goodies don't hunt as fast or as long as evils and have less drive to reach pinn. I took a neutral class with a high exp pen and was working my way up twice as fast as this always hunting with evils and both classes are good group classes and I'm also in an area where you'd think goodies would be hunting to get away from (quest class pk range) so it's not that I'm someone you don't want....I'm just wondering how such a large difference can exist. TheNewGuy
There are more evils than goodies in general, I think.
Deptore
I think you misunderstood, I'm not saying there's no one in my group range I'm saying that none want to hunt and yet I'll see them stand in town alone for hours doing nothing. With evils it seems like their either training, pking or hunting and don't waste time.
Archbishop Monk
Maybe they are trying for a qrace/qclass too and want to RP a bit. Try rping with some of them a bit and then ask for a group. It also depends on your rank. With Nexus so strong now I'm pretty sure it scares a bunch of goodies to try to rank up into their pk range. On the other hand, some like pain and torment, and like trying to rank up through the onslaught of Nexus/Undead/Demons/evil ogres. Those people are the hardcore players, and even though they wear the white jackets with the buckles in the back where the sleeves connect, I'd try to group with them if you want to rank up. corpsestomp
Goods take a lifetime to level up. They just don't know the meaning of the words 'power ranking.'
Deptore
Either that or there's a goodie forum out there and they're all saving chars at high levels just before pinn so they can all pinn at once and try to storm the player base.
Iyorvin
Goodies are more filled with newer players, people who want to be protected from 33% of the pbase. Evils are played more by experienced players because there is a no bar free for all . Thus evils tend to have more incentive to rank up quick, because the 30 range can be hell for them. mya
Most veteral/experienced player tend to play evils because they are more powerfull with less restriction. For example, if you are playing a goodie and a neutral comes along, you do not know if you should pk him or not. He could be a bloodthirsty neutral, or just a peace loving neutral or a good aligned character. As you cannot know unless you already have seen him. So you cannot do what evils do. When in doubt kill. Equipment is a lot better for evils than it is for goods. Sure you can request some things, but most of this the evil can get in less time by killing the mob. Also the game balance is hugely shifted towards evils. Just look at the evil Qraces. Good are always able to protect better, but if you dont go offensive you will soon find your self dead. tassinvegeta
I think it would be correct to say goodies are more defensive orientated and as a result are not as effective. Being more offensive is always the best strategy in my opinion.

Questioner
I know plenty of evils that are always on the defensive. And most goodies being played at the moment are mostly defensive.

Deykari
Correction. Someone was so utterly blinded by the coolness that goods command, that they couldn't LOOK for new gear. Dey

Mmm Coffee
There's a difference between a "goodie" class and a "goodie-only" class. If you break down the different classes, all warrior, rogue (except bard) and mage classes (except necro) are avail to both aligns. Then you have the hybrid which most have a nemesis: dk/pally, shaman/healer, evil cleric, good cleric. Druids being the only neutral-only hybrid. Of the classes available to both aligns, I think only the clerics have a couple different skills, which IMO lend more PK power to the evil and more survivability to the good. The next factor is religion and I don't know enough about all the religions to make an argument but I'd say overall it's balanced pretty well. Ex-D&Der
I think it's pretty hard to play a good because of the RP responsibilities. I just couldn't stomach it again after 1.0 because of all the crap you take with people telling you how you should play.
