Celerity
I was already not a big fan of the military or macarthur but these kind of things................................................................... I've taken sooo many Japanese history classes and I've never even -heard- of Mr. Homma...I really wonder why... This is a good read for ANYONE: http://www.americanheritage.com/articles/magazine/ah/2007/1/2007_1_34.shtml Bush has been trying to do the same thing with the 'stricter' laws....and lack of due process....grumble..grumble...grumble.... Dizz
Grumble... The faster we can get bush out the better. Interesting how he is now willing to talk benchmarks the day after Blair resigned....

elfdude
Yea, I don't think you can quite compare WWII warcrimes to anything going on right now.
Imoutgoodbye
There's a lot happening on both sides. Behrens had a nice article on guerrilla warfare a while back. Not really sure where this thread is headed, but I'm backing out of it. Peace out.
Deptore
Personally I try to keep my feelings out of the war, it's my job and one I try to do very well. Heading back over there for the second time in Nov actually, and it doesn't matter if I've the best or worst president to decide on it an order is an order and I'll follow it just becaust that's who I am.
