BigMac
I'm going to London next week. I'll be there friday morning, and I'll be leaving on Thursday the 24th. I'm taking my cell-phone. Let me know if you want to hook up and kick a few beers back or something.
Deykari
How long are you there for, just the Friday morning? The weekend? (EDIT: Never mind, just realised what you said. You'll be there for just under a week or so) Talk about short notice. I'll take a look at some train times, London isn't hard for me to get to, just that trains there are usually fully booked if you don't book early. Dey P.S - If I can get down there, you owe me a pint for spelling my name wrong.
Aulian
pppppffffft and it better be a Newky Brown at that. EDIT: for you muppets who need translation; New Castle Brown
Deykari
I'm not a fan of Newky Brown. For bottled beer, Budvar and Desperado do it for me, or Koppaberg(sp) Berry Cider. Nothing beats a nice draught pint of lager (usually Stella Artois or Carlsberg) or bitter on a summer's day, sat outside in the beer garden though. If stella is a good lager to you..........you're deprived. I mean, after all, its Belgium..........

Deykari
Take it from a canadian. If stella is a good lager to you..........you're deprived. I mean, after all, its Belgium.......... Let me put this in perspective. Most UK pubs/bars stock the following as standard on draught: Stella Artois, Carslberg, Fosters, and Carling. Carling and Fosters are...undrinkable. Carlsberg and Stella Artois, I think are just above bearable, but nice when it's a warm day and you're sat outside with an ice cold pint. But yes, thanks to the awful choice in most bars/pubs (excluding the odd few that do local and international beer on draught, none of which are local for me), I am very deprived as far as draught beer goes. If we're talking bottled beer, which there is a much bigger choice of, I won't touch the swill. European beers (Zwyiec, Budvar) are great, and I love other stuff too like Cobra/Tiger, and Corona. Desperado (Lager & Tequila) has a special place in my heart. If I had my way, I would be drinking Budvar on draught. Dey

Deykari
Where in London are you going to be? Staying in the centre in a hotel/B&B, or at a house somewhere out in the suburbs? Or something else? Same question goes for you, Bali. Where the hell are you staying when you come across? London is a big place, and I'm gonna need to know where to sort my room out for when I come down to blow tons of money in the capital. Dey
BigMac
Aw hell, sorry about misspelling your name sweetie. Lys-Dexia FTL. I'll buy you a pint. I'll be staying near Victoria.

BigMac
I don't know when I'll be free. I'm going with my buddy and my mother, and she's booked a few day-trips for us all. We could go eat at the Texas Embassy by Picadilly (sp?) Circus... and you could have a Lone Star: the greatest beer ever brewed (if you don't agree, I'll cut you so bad, you'll be like, "man, I wish you no cut me so bad!"). Deykari
I'll be there, Evangelion. June, right? Cheap rooms in the Travelodge FTW. BigMac, if you can find out when you're free and let me know, I'll sort things out from my end. I'm going to have to do a bit of research on the capital, as I have no idea where the hell Victoria is. BigMac
It's on the southwest side. I've got tube passes, so I can meet you anywhere your wittle heart desires. I'll also be taking my laptop with me so I can post on here. I'm having dinner with my parents tonight so I'll find out when I'll be free and post back here later tonight. Deykari
I have a potential date on Saturday night (I say date, I'm paying some girl £300 to pretend she likes me so that I can tell the people I pay to pretend to be my friends that I'm popular with the ladies), and trains don't run Sunday. Monday to Thursday is easy for me. Getting paid to take time off is great. Dey
BigMac
I'm free Friday and Saturday, but after that I'm not too sure. There are a couple days the next week that I'll be free.
Deykari
Working the train out, I can make anyday Monday to Wednesday, and whatever day it is, I'll be there from about 13:00 to 18:00. Was planning on staying the night in a B&B/Hotel then going for a wander myself around London but short notice, it's too expensive. As for you, Evangelion, there is a dirt cheap guest house that's literally down the road from your hotel that I'll get a room in for the night of the 23rd June, so I can go shopping for gear for my holiday next day. You aren't allowed to touch your first legal beer until we meet. Good job work pay me for time off, otherwise there's no way I'd be meeting you scumbags.
