L-A
I got tooled by Nortak back in the day and though BMG's sucked. I mean totaly tooled by a warrior... lol Then I think about it an realize my gear wasn't "great" and I never really had much problems with the normal folk. Warriors and bmages have similiar melee outputs, though I think a well eq'd warrior just outfights a bmage in pure melee. You have to rely on your spells to get you over the line - and with sharpmetal being physical and giants have physical resist one of your primary casts offensive power is dulled. Sear is easily beaten by not fighting you during the day. Most other spells can be saved if the warrior has some average saves. This is the key to fighting bmages - you have to take away their advantages one by one until they have nothing left. Then its just a matter of running them down and killing them. They aren't a class with a big BANG to pull out at any time. Once their offense is reduced they have nothing left. Of course, if you haven't gone to the trouble of reducing their effectiveness, you are going to get a can'o'whoop *** opened on you ;-) L-A
Tantangel
Much like L-A said, Warriors can have a very easy time beating BMGs. BMG puts up reflective shield, all the Warrior has to do is use magical weapons and it eliminates that, at night means no sear, sharpmetal sucks vs. Giants and other such things like mentioned by L-A can be lessened by decent saves. That's not to say that you can't eat them easily as a BMG either, just depends on who you fight and how you catch them. It's one of those things where it really depends on who's thinking and who's not.

Lexi
If the battlemage is using reflective shield, a giant warrior only needs to enlarge and use bash, no?
Aulian
No. Imagine the AC + ref shield lag reduction.. Good luck with that bashing whilst the bmag dispells your sanc and either sharpmetals or color sprays you
L-A
If the battlemage is using reflective shield' date=' a giant warrior only needs to enlarge and use bash, no?[/quote'] Reflective shield does a number of things: 1) Stops lag from bash/slam/grapple etc 2) Does not stop damage from bash/slam/grapple etc 3) F***s you up if you use physical damage the battlemage. IIRC, bash damage is physical. FG bash damage has been chagned to physical too I believe. Not only can't you lag them doing this, the ref shield will hurt you more.
