no...feel bad at my friend who has the money to buy all 3 of the new systems, plus continuously get games for them, but complains about lack of money to get a place of his own.

some people just don't know how to manage stuff

Just like people who complain they never have any money but always manage to have the fridge full of beer and smoke like chimney's.

Yeah, my moms boyfriend's 360 broke as well, and that was almost a month ago and he still hasn't gotten around to sending it in. PS3 isn't worth the price that it is IMO, granted it is $100 cheaper than a blu-ray player, but considering right now I'm not working, and when I do I don't make ****, a PS3 is definately not worth the price it is for myself nor a lot of people. 360 will get a lot of the use to be Playstation exclusives, so it makes getting a PS3 practically pointless if you can care less about next generation movie players. You can always wait 4 years and then those players will be a lot cheaper than the console, all the while you still get to view movies in DVD format which will stay that way for at least the next 6 years before ever changing totally to another format because quite frankly that's just how it'll be because movie industries want to milk the most money out of something before changing so that everyone has a chance to that way they get those who are more poor since a lot of people anymore are at or below poverty levels. At least that's how I've always seen it and that's basically what happened to VHS with the coming of DVD.

I have the Xbox, will upgrade to the Elite when I have the cash to waste, and I am an official PS3 hater until I make enough money to justify owning both. :P The Xbox is going to have more titles for it, because it came out first, is slightly easier to develop for, and slightly cheaper to develop for. The only reason that the PS2 had so many third party titles was that the develping companies did not have to pay Sony to make a game for the PS2, and they did have to pay to make one for the Xbox. This gen, the companies have to pay both microsoft and sony, so the smaller third party developers are hurting kinda bad at the moment. And microsoft is willing to throw cash at people for xbox exclusives, and sony is not at the moment...

I've heavily modded my 360 so it will never break. I play bootleg games, run linux when i feel like it, run a 400g hd. I added three fans inside of it, and a liquid cooling system.

The problem they run in to is the bending and flexing of the motherboard due to heat and the inability of the cpu to flex like that and go back. You end up with the cpu not making good contact with the board... ergo .... three red light problems.

PS3 is a very ample system, however... so is the 360. I don't know.. two different animals entirely. I like my 360's ability to network with the rest of my wireless apartment seamlessly and easily.

Did someone just say the ps3 is cheaper then a blu-ray player but still not worth the price? That is not very good logic. I think the only edge ps3 has now is the fact they are using the new technology and microsoft tried(and failed), going in another direction.

If you would've actually remembered everything I put in it, I said it's not very good right now. Just like DVD players and the PS2, buying a PS2 was cheaper than buying a DVD player yet not a whole lot of people could afford it until the price drops. For people who can afford it right now (those with decent paying jobs, people who live at home still, those who have decent jobs and live at home still), you get a cheaper blu-ray player by buying the PS3, but with all the movies that are out now that you can buy for $20, why buy a $30 blu-ray movie when all that's really added to it is maybe a few extra scenes, that usually those who don't have a life will sit in front of and watch all the hours and hours of extras, when you save $10 buying a DVD for practically the same thing. It's a complete waste of money for those who can't afford it and being that the next-generation of movie formats is still years away, why buy a PS3 at $600 today when you can wait 4 years to buy a PS3 for cheaper than $300? Besides, by that time blu-ray players (assuming that does become the next movie format) will be cheaper than the PS3, and unless something REALLY badass comes out on the PS3, I don't see the PS3 being very good. Playstation exclusives aren't going to be exclusives anymore. Playstation had the edge on Microsoft with Final Fantasy and Resident Evil along with various other games and now those games are going to the 360 as well? Hell, the 360 is $200 cheaper than the PS3, and the 360 will have a price drop well before the PS3, so why pay more when you can play for less?

So basically if you can afford it, go for it, but if you can't like the majority of Americans, don't try to get it because it's not worth it to not pay other things (bills).

Yeah bud, I sent it in yesterday. Don't worry...it'll be back and you can get back on Kirby's Dreamland 360 real soon.
