I deleted Dregor today after a very long and eventful life which began at rank 30 and carried through all the way to 50 and beyond. He was by far one of my longer lasting and most fun characters (both from a PK and RP perspective) and one I learned a great deal about PK with.

I deleted for a number of reasons. Firstly, I was getting a bit bored of the character and found myself playing other projects most of the time, only logging Dregor in out of guilt and to check on WM affairs. Secondly, I was nearing the end of his life, and didn't want to do what some people do (take multiple cheap deaths that could be avoided) to push on the extra distance to condeath. I was hoping to maybe get my first eldered cabal character, but I figured that with no cabal Imm that was a bit of an ambitious undertaking.

Thorg: We were the only thing between three cabals and the total annihilation of Warmaster for a very long time. We had three wars started for us by people who later bolted out of the cabal back when we were still inductees and even though we died a lot, I like to think we gave a good account of ourselves and took a fair amount of people down with us. I'm glad we both stuck with it, as it was one of the funnest times I've had and I think I emerged a better player.

Issasthys: I think it was a toss up between you and Kyatha for who I died to the most. When I finally managed to beat you one or two times, I felt pretty happy with myself as it felt like I'd just beaten a real beast, even though I was always near death myself. We also had fairly solid interaction after the wars were all over.

Kyatha: You dominated me on several occasions, but I thought each time I got a little bit sharper and a little bit more ballsy in my subsequent PKs. I actually got near to beating you once, though I never did kill you.

Rorrick: Rorrick was a good friend of Dregor's I was often interacting with him. Very solid RP, and a pretty nasty PKer too, though we never really fought. I liked you because we were both underdogs, you against Nexus and me against Savant.

Enellelisell (or whatever): You were the first person I was thrown into combat against when I first joined WM. I hate fighting invokers, and our fights were always really close, and one mistake could see the whole affair swing either way. Props on a tough opponent.

Nixie: Even though we were at war, we had a pretty good relationship. I like the way you stuck with it, even in the most frustrating circumstances and I am sure you will become a better player because of it.

Taalahbib: Same goes for you, a very well played thief and I enjoyed our discussions.

Ixzec/Tarim: See above.

Malfious: You were Dregor's most frequent opponent in his later life, and my battles with you were always tense and close. I think we killed each other once each, but we both got very close on a number of occasions. Scrimmaging for standards against two Savants was fun, even if it was a losing battle much of the time. I liked your drow RP, and that you were a classy opponent who never jumped in to battles or tried to gang even though you could have on several occasions.

I am glad I struggled on with Dregor through a load of really annoying situations throughout his life that in the past have made me lose interest. I feel like I have gained a lot of experience from him, but for the reasons I mentioned above, it was time to move on to other projects.

I was surprised to hear you hadn't even gone an anatomy mastery yet. Probably would've stomped the new Savant members a lot easier if you'd gone it much earlier though like you said, Savant was full of Avians and Faeries then. Definitely have to give you props both in the sense of being able to be the only WM and hold your own for so many hours without being a Healer/Herald. Still think you should've been promoted to at least Elder for as long as you were there, perhaps the next character you will. Have to put you within the top 5 characters as of before you deleted, but otherwise very solid in every aspect.
