Talcian
Is a great great thing! It improves your game so much. Too bad its only temp. for me for now Maybe two months or so and I'll be able to run with the rest of you guys. Had to go back to my dial-up for tonight. Almost makes the game unbearable now that I've been spoiled. Just thought I'd share.
Zrothum
I tried a dial up connection for awhile and it was pretty good..... I had to use the dial-up booster program thing that they offered, but it was pretty damned good.
Talcian
hrmmm, I may have to check into that. As it is now though my latency is very noticeable after experiencing the power of modern day technology.
BigMac
Dial-up booster programs usually work as an http proxy that downloads images/text and degrades/compresses them before sending them through your narrow pipe. I doubt a booster program would work at all with FL. ...unless there's some other sort of booster program of which I am unaware.
TheNewGuy
Hey, think of the poor guys in Europe. We have latency even with a good connection.
Tantangel
Yeah, as BigMac said, it works well for websites, but as for working with FL it doesn't. I used one for a while myself when I had dial-up, worked for everything but FL and anything like FL. Between Dial-up and Broadband though, I really didn't see a difference between the two for FL but noticed a TON of difference for websites. Zrothum
Localnet is the dialup company I use. Localnet Express is their little booster program I had to pay like 3 bucks extra a month for. It's the pwn.
