Kinicky
K, so I am out and about in the lands today and I see this description wandering about on a halfling blademaster: Hairy and fat, a small halfling darts about before you, his strange agility in stark defiance of his pear-shaped obesity. A shaggy mop of hair adorns his head, a messy brown tangle of hair and twigs. Moving with a purposeful eagerness, he manages to step quickly and nimbly, emitting only the occasional dampened rustle of light cloth shifting against itself. Upon his fat finger is a bronze ring, complete with a signet appearing to be a wicked-looking blade encircled by a thorny crown. A large smile adorns his lips, tying in curiously with the studious look in his eyes. Crumbs of food decorate his bulbous shoulders and round belly, complete with the occasional stain of a dark wine. Two arms simply pop out, round and short, but end in nimble fingers that bear an nusual deftness to them. A soft rope is tied around his waist, from which hangs a flask likely containing the cause of those stains noted earlier. Below this, two stubby legs poke out, ending in hair feet proportionally larger than they should seem. Dried mud and dirt paint the bottom and sides of these feet, fading slowly until they finally vanish at midcalf. I start thinking to myself... wow. That looks REALLY familiar. So I go into my files where I keep descriptions I have written on previous characters, and I find this description for Etheas Basilblade: Hairy and fat, a small halfling darts about before you, his strange agility in stark defiance of his pear-shaped obesity. Two arms simply pop out, round and short, but end in nimble fingers that bear an unusual deftness to them. A soft rope is tied around his waist, from which hangs a flask likely containing the cause of those stains noted earlier. Below this, two stubby legs poke out, ending in hairy feet proportionally larger than they should seem. Dried mud and dirt paint the bottom and sides of these feet, fading slowly until they finally vanish at midcalf. A strange host of bladed weapons seem to enjoy his company, a wild plethora of defensive aggression. This, combined with his unnatural legerity, gives pause to the immediate impression of timid weakness he seems to portray. Should I be flattered? CruelEdict
I actually had this happen to me when I was still awaiting approval. They couldn't prove who wrote it first so I had to rewrite my desc! Be flattered, but also make sure the IMMs know about it (well, they know now). WagesofSin
I once did that with a character to see if I would get a dragon. The original character(gone for at least a year) got a dragon and I wanted to see whether the imms have a standard to judge descs. In the end I did not get the dragon, so I figured it varied from imm to imm.

WagesofSin
I also think dragons are given out for other reasons. For instance I once made a beast berserker after the new beast changes were done. Most people went ranger and I was the only zerker. While my description wasn't anything extraordinary I got a earth dragon for what I think was choosing a non-power class and having some decent RP while I was at it. CruelEdict
I got a dragon for helping newbies once. So it isn't just for descs, apparently.
Dale
I once asked an imm when he summoned me where griff got his ducks from, since there wern't any ducks in emerald. He told me that those aren't really ducks, but the cubs of the bear in the rangers guild. He made me sware not to tell anyone or the bear would kill griff. Then he asked me what elemental I would say I was. I told him fire, and he gave me a water dragon.
HBwillie
what the hell is defensive aggression? running toward your opponent with your hands covering your face?
Celerity
aggressive defense = passive offense? phalanx...plodding towards someone armed defensively (or security treaty system) = waiting for them to attack first and going crazy on them in retaliation passive defense = avoiding a fight aggressive offense = US foreign policy

Celerity
I'm not left wing...believe it or not... well, depends on the scale.... I guess socially I'm left wing, economically generally right but mostly libertarian...being as both parties are pro-large government...I don't fit in the scale well...I am also far from the idiotic libertarian party though (which I feel doesn't agree well with my views of classical liberalism) My top candidates are probably Ron Paul (republican) and Barak Obama (democrat)

Iyorvin
Forgot my topic reply. I always copy and paste description lines. If one is that good. Put them all into one, substitute some things depending on race............. Thank the imm for the dragon, but the real thanks goes out to all of you, who made it happen. Tom
What an ironic question.
Celerity
I think that the libertarian party isn't well thought out or well represented and that they deviate from classical liberalism too much for my tastes...regardless of that, their candidate is likely to be a lot closer to my beliefs than any other republican or democrat candidate. So I might feel the party is being pretty dumb, but libertarians being dumb still beat out most of the other competition
