brsingr
question, what rank do mino zerkers get to charge more than once, on the opening battle? i have one, i think rank 16, and i'd like to charge more than on the opening
Mister E
It has nothing to do with rank.
Dale
Only works when you dual weild two of te same weapon, and only a certain weapon. And its not more than one charge, it's just a really cool affect.
Tom
Incorrect, only the main wielded weapon has to be that type, and you don't have to be dual wielding. It also is more than one charge, regardless of what you're wielding. Kind of an apropos icon, considering that post - : P
Mister E
wearing two of said weapon makes it oh so much sweeter
Tom
Actually, any weapon can do that special thing as a dual wield.
Mister E
Thats not how I recall it. Been a while since my mino zerk though.
Tom
I just deleted one, it sometimes works with non-axes in the off hand. I figure it's ok to identify it as axe since info about axes is in the mino help file.
krounoi
Can I suggest that the best way to find out, is by actually doing it yourself. That way, there is no second guessing, no multiple conflicting answers, nothing. Just simple, "Oh, I did it for myself." FACTS. And then you will know something, maybe someone else doesn't. But, that's just me maybe.
Mister E
ahh, sometimes works...I think two axes is better than one in this case..

brsingr
well, i see i started a bit of a debate, but still, ive got no answers, or if one was given, i didnt recognise it. so you have to be dual wielding, or what? cuz i am just using an axe and a shield, and i am told "not while you're fighting!" Mister E
charge is an opening attack
krounoi
Which of course means you can only begin combat with charge. Once fighting, you cannot charge, unless you flee, and return to charge again. Of course, if they aren't blind, they will autoattack, so you have to deal with that as well. As I said experimentation is YOUR friend.
brsingr
oh, i was told that minotaurs could charge repeatedly
Mister E
anyon can charge repeatedly, but non minotaurs will not get the added effect for a few hours after a succesfull charge. But regardless of that, noone can charge while already fighting.
Tantangel
The mino charge is that they charge and it lags for every charge. No other race can do that. They just flee, return, charge, flee, return, charge. And each time it lags the person. Dual wielding axes gives you a bonus attacks that will up your chances of killing your opponent. Back in 1.0 when Mino's could only be Zerks, I charged a Ninja in the 20's and before he hit the ground he was dead. I was dual wielding axes. Dale
What he said, many different classes, lvl 20-30, killed alot of people with jsut charge. Try dirt kick flee and charge. Better yet, roll an evil cleric they are REALLY fun around rank 42, in fact stay at that rank with an evil human cleric and see the damage you can do, even if you have only a weapon and shield. And if you are new to the game, I would HIGHLY suggest this. Berserkers and other melee types are quite hard to play in the higher levels.
