Change: September Changes

This is an important change that may affect many players.

Key Changes

  • Ogre changes:
    • bonus to magical weapons has been reduced by 10%
    • mundane weapon bonus remains the same
  • Undead changes:
    • doubled hp gain, mana gain, and move gain
    • cannot sleep
    • gained +2 con points
    • gained innate skill called 'consume'.
  • Ninja changes:
    • endure is now similar to warcry, and is affected by a certain edge.
    • caltraps will now hit flying users, but won't enfeeble them - instead, a move regen penalty is added.
    • grapple is now a 1 round lag (2 on fail) with a 50% chance to lag 2 rounds.
    • assassinate has been made 50% more difficult to achieve. (falcon eye and deathkiss still learn much faster than other paths)
    • new skill 'stalk'
      • this is different from study, and only affects study strike and masharu trance. You cannot stalk and study at the same time.
    • new skill 'jitsu'
      • similar to pugil, except with swords and spears.
    • new skill 'study strike'
      • unblockable attack that is learned at level 50.
      • damage scales depending on how many stalks you have on an opponent.
      • damage fluctuates depending on skill% learned.
      • damage against mobs is static, but still fluctuates depending on skill% learned.
      • ikuzachi's lag reduced to 1 round, and reduces dex instead of wis/int now.
    • Specific path changes:
      • Shadow Arts:
        • nerve has a chance to force enemy to drop secondary weapon (or shield).
        • avoids negative affects of acupuncture when successful
        • negative affects on failed acupuncture cut in half.
        • acupuncture heals 1.5x more.
        • gains masharu trance
      • Deathkiss:
        • chance to cure poison of victim they strangle (bypass poison)
      • Falcon Eye:
        • will immediately try to hide when vanishing
        • better chance to vanish out of combat
      • Doublesheath
        • gains two handed
        • gains masharu trance
      • Lotus Scourge:
        • duration of poison increased on poison.
        • lotus scourge poison replaces self-induced poison
        • lotus scourge ignores resistances to poison.
        • poison will always cause max damage per pulse.
        • increased negative strength affect.
        • much harder to cure, now.
  • Dragons and other RP items awarded to you by IMMs can now be worn as a hovering object.
  • Immortals can now use ALL cabal commands when a character is not online.
  • New command for IMPs coded to allow character restore.
  • Crusader Psalm Insight no longer gives the user keen_sight and detect_hidden.
  • Crusaders will mark PC's that they avenge against, allowing them to see the avenged even when blind.
  • Weaponseize warrior lore no longer fires for OFFHAND disarms.
  • Tier's coded further!
    • Hardcore tier: can be full looted by other hardcore players only. Denoted by <PK>
      • gets 1.5x learning increase (training only, not XP)
      • gets 10% gain in CPs
      • only 20 lives
    • Standard tier (formerly Ruthless): can only loot up to 10 items, and can only be loot for 10 items. Denoted by <PK>
      • 61 lives.
      • standard CP gain
      • standard learning.
      • players who want to be hardcore, can apply in game.
    • Moderate tier: can only loot 2 rares and only be looted for up to 2 rares. Cabal items can no longer be looted from moderates. Denoted by <PK>
      • standard learning.
      • standard CP gain.
      • 61 lives.
  • GET ALL CORPSE has been disabled.
  • SACRIFICE now includes 1 round of lag.

Bug Fixes

  • Spell 'age' causing a crash has been fixed.
  • Reboot PURGE notes to IMMORTAL have had orig_sender added to prevent (null) crashes.
  • Spellforge now works with psionicist's arsenal, where before it required memorization.
  • Kinesis spells for psionicists has been fixed, buggy syntax and outcome.
  • Guild command for Adventurer: disallowed align_only race/classes from joining the wrong guild.
    • Paladin's can't be evil anymore.
    • DK's and Necros can't be good anymore.
  • Life insurance won't cause crashes anymore with confiscate.
  • Remove magic no longer tries to dispel opponent as many times as they have pets.
  • Fixed a bug where mob/obj/room programs would execute BEFORE you saw what you said.
  • Gaia's defense wasn't working properly, and has been fixed.
  • Stalk bug making it impossible to switch targets fixed.
  • Stalk able to stalk all the way across Aabahran fixed.
  • Fixed spellforge where sometimes it wouldn't give spell to user.
