Aabahran

Gork, the Wayward Goblin

Creature Compendium · by Academician Daemian Sathyr

Most adventurers know of Goblin because of their notoriously

poor attitudes and violent natures. Many take care to avoid them for similar reasons. These tricksters are more likely to bite off a finger than shake your hand, but not Gork. This particular Goblin is different from the rest of his kin, and in no small way. Gork is markedly smaller than his Goblin companions, and some of his ilk might venture far enough to call him weak and puny. Despite his physical differences, Gork is also estranged from his people by temperament. His nimble fingers and tricky actions bespeak his Goblin heritage, but he does not harbor the same wild and violent tendencies that other Goblins take pride in.

As with most species, they feel threatened by those of different nature. The goblins, staying true to this rule, were particularly mean towards Gork, and beat him constantly. As a son to the Goblin king and one of his many Harem Girls, he was considered illegitimate and was forced to sleep outside with the dogs. During one night, Gork knew his very life was in danger, and fled from the Goblin Village in to Miruvhor, where he hid within the City Gates. By luck, or perhaps something more, it was then that the gates decided to activate. With a flash and a bang, Gork was cast through space, and when his ride was over found himself within Rheydin's Central Square. After this, Gork realized that adventuring was his true passion, and set out to see what he could of Aabahran. He travels with the resolve to show others that he is not weak, and to preform some great deed that will write him in to the history books and the new race of Goblins. He might even return to the Goblin Village, he says, and usurp the King to become the new ruler, and bring goodness to the Goblin Kingdom.
