Vol. 33 *** The Chronicles *** Expanded Edition
As the war rages through the streets of Val Miran the
Feral armies seem to have disbanded without their most resolute leader to guide them. After destroying the gate the feral creatures meandered through the city streets aimlessly for a time before finally being driven away by the defending forces. At the western gate the rat men have been chased back into the landfill, where they lick their wounds and bury their dead to keep the vultures from consuming them.
However, new threats developed in the power vacuum
left behind by the feral and rat man armies. Legions of Demons began to arrive through a gateway that sprang up upon the eastern road. As the Knights worked with Merchant leaders to ensure the safe passage of refugees to an encampment within Fort Blackwatch, the Tribunal forces fought desperately to maintain some semblance of order. Opposing beliefs and hateful misunderstanding resulted in the overall abandonment of all but the most loyal guards within the city of Val Miran.
Unable to hold back the tide of war, the Knights have
been forced to remove their recruitment officers for the clan of hope outside the city walls. Storm giants and druid recruits battled from the eastern gate far to the south and currently fight along the Waterfalls edge each asserting themselves with righteous tones. Great serpents soon arrived upon the scene likely drawn to the smell of death and the promise of many meals. A strange substance not only coats the city streets it appears to have an defoliant nature that destroys all organic matter it comes in contact with.
One of the progressive armies has dammed the river
causing flood waters to rise that will certainly carry the defoliant substance through the Hoan Dor. While no one proclaims responsibility for the dam, it most assuredly spells disaster for the forest and all of the woodland beasts that reside under the canopy of its protective branches.
In other news, the citizens of Miruvhor led by the
mighty general Cervall won their independence from the Empire. Quickly the general took action to place himself over the well being of Miruvhors citizens and placing several other outstanding members of the community into key positions in the local government. Emperor Cervall named a prominent .young Merchant to the position of Treasurer and a powerful Savant as the cities new Viceroy.
While Viceroy Irant marched his forces against the
largest Warmaster Camp in recent history, Panek, Miruvhors Treasurer rose to great heights within the Merchant clan. Recently, the acting Treasurer, through hard work and dedication, became known as the Golden Emperor. Miruvhorian citizens love and admire the patron of their newest market. Two Brothers a shop Panek shares with his sibling and fellow Merchant Manek thrives in a world beset by chaos in every corner.
The halls of the Heraldry which had become silent
seems to be on the move. While courier services remain closed to the general public, at least some scrolls appear to be flowing. Echoes of new voices resonate through the halls of the Academy, some citizens believe that the sound itself Heralds a new Era of change. Time will surely tell, and all events may finally be reported for the commoner to read.
