Purity. A simple concept, no? To be Pure, to be without contamination. It sounds so simple. In truth, Purity, the idea of it, is much more complex than that. The Righteous are the only ones that can hope to be so Pure; those that take-up arms against the ever-advancing Darkness. He who stands firm in opposition to Evil is Pure. There is no bargaining, there is only Judgment. A Puritan will stop at nothing to see that the Righteous overcome.

For one to truly be Pure, he must be as the Lord - Perfect. To be any less than perfect is to be less than Pure. Purity is not for the timid or meek, it is a constant state of struggle and self-improvement. Such admiration of the Pure Light often leaves the Puritan trying to emulate the Lord. Many disciples of Purity follow these guidelines as Law, and ignore the Law of Man.

There are others that do not follow the word of Light as closely, but are still accepted by the Church. They use Purity as a means to guard the world from Shadow and to protect those they deem worthy. They see the Book of Purity as a guideline to help make them a better person. Each sect of Purity has its own place in the world. The more conventional Puritans are akin to the tip of a Spear, while those with a more liberal interpretation of the Book are the Shield. This is a war that has waged since the dawn of creation.
