The Tribunal Taxation Authroity Act Will hereby grant the authority for Tribunal Council members to collect taxes on behalf of the Empire to be used at their discretion for the betterment of the Empire. Pinnacles of Guilds will be taxed at a rate of TEN THOUSAND coins per year, and those not of their pinnacle will be taxed at a rate of SEVEN THOUSAND coins per year. See details below.
The Empire is a collective of cities which in turn are a collective of people. To that effect, all are responsible for the protection and preservation for the Empire that they build their lives in. In addition, many other non-Imperial Citizens likewise use the services of the cities, shop in their stores, worship at their temples, and use the roads all while under the protection of Imperial Guards.
ONCE PER YEAR, members of the TRIBUNAL COUNCIL will have the
authority to collect taxes from those people who have gained enough prestige to join guilds. This will apply to ALL members of GUILDS, as even those whom DO NOT reside in the city still use shops, and streets while at the same time being protected by Imperial guards. For those of the pinnacle of their guild, the tax will be TEN THOUSAND coins, and for those not of their pinnacle the tax will be SEVEN THOUSAND coins.
A formal invoice must be delivered to the Tribunal and the
guildsman being taxed. This must include a time stamp of when the the request was made, as well as how much is required in taxes. Furthermore once the taxes are paid, a reciept must be issued to the guildsman as well as the Tribunal. Failure to pay taxes within one day will result in a warrant being issued for the arrest of the party that refuses to comply. This offense will be considered petty, and shall not be punished by execution.
If you believe the tax will cause an undue hardship, you can file for EXEMPTION by sending word to the TRIBUNAL at the time TAXES are requested. Requirements to pay taxes will be decided by the Councilman who issued the invoice. If the exemption is approved, a notice will be sent by the Councilman.
