Ninja's!

I just don't know a lot of good players assassinated by ninjas. IF that happends, they learn their lesson and that just don't happends again. Most of the people playing here for years will say that they don't have a problems with ninjas, because they know what to do. As someone said there are a LOT of ways to survive. You didn't? Your problem!

Don't need to mention all of the class/race/cabal skills that can EASILY avoid and kill ninjas, you all knows about them.

I'm failing to see how a ninja just stalking a forced cabal PK then landing assassinate on an awake, poisoned, able to see, prepped person is their fault...but okay...

It's your fault if you get assassinated if you don't....

  1. Run away. Farrr away.

  2. Not defend your cabal.

  3. Hide behind doors.

  4. Log off.

Anyway, still off topic. Original suggestion was that ninjas should lose their study when they log off. Twice now, I've had the ninja I've been fighting get two ticks of study in (while I was running away dirt kicked) and he just recalling/logging out.

Each time he logs back in, he attempts to assassinate me at a later time. No, no no no no. This should stop.

I'm curious how that IMM discussion is going. I'm not sure what can be discussed on a topic that can't fly in reality/quasi-reality/the minds of the pbase. I'm still hoping for the day we rise up/are given self-rule via majority vote. I mean... we the players sounds so much better than "we are chatting about it, suck it up for now"

So again, I point out that the ONLY reliable solutions to avoiding assasinate is to run away from the ninja, by either loggin off, hiding in a room, and basically avoiding playing the game.

shuriken thing

whats up with every kind of shuriken being made of steel when u log off:/ not cool... and veg shortly after u deleted i killed shenzar and took all his wares and was gonna give em right back to u:/ I do wish i had a fast enough connection to play i always play a combat ninja and jus use assassinate as a last resort even then its so damn hard to kill a skilled player with assassinate even if you log off and retain the study you always end up in a fight with someone new and lose it anyway... its very rare for someone to pull off a log off retain assassination unless they are truely skilled it takes allot of restrain to do so... On that note iraq sucks:/ I cant wait to come back to the states!

Hey, sorry, I am not intentionally trying to be rude or mean... it's just the way I talk (or write). You know I harbour only the warmest feelings towards you, and your ninja is one of the two ninjas that have ever assassinated me, but it is a fact that this assassination was entirely my own fault, while the case with Skia is not the same.

Why I am rolling your eyes at your quote? Because I agree with you. Or more like, because you agree with me. What is my point exactly?

  1. It is too easy to get a full study.

  2. Once you've gotten a full study it is too easy to execute the actual assassination.

And the major point

  1. THERE IS NO COUNTER TO ASSASSINATE.

A ninja can assassinate you while you are poisoned, while you are awake, while you are boosted to no end with consumables, while you are much better dressed than her.

I can think of only one other (PSI) skill which has no counter and this skill is no way near as close to being a win button like assassination is.

With that quote you say that the only way you can come out as a winner against a ninja that is running towards you to study you is if you log out. Is that how it should be?

Meh Rylar (sp?) Used to assassinate me on my halfling. I was hasted, enlarged, had ac most of you would only dream of on a hybrid, poisoned and awake.

And he never failed once.

From that point on, screw being Leader, I'd just leave when he entered the lands. I was buffed to the point of no more buffs humanly possible, and he didnt even need to strangle me.

Meh. I'll admit I've probably been assassinated like... 8 times in the 8-9 years I've played here. But still, taht always sticks out in my mind as ridiculous.

I think to be able to assassinate the ninja should at least be hidden. Victim awake or asleep, meh, I can see both. But you need to strike from the shadows.

I've been assassinated one time so far and it was very gay. I had said ninja plagued, poisoned, completely out of moves, a virtual sitting duck. He pushed me, I came back in to finish the deal, and blam, assassinated. Gay.

I've never played a ninja to the assassinate command so I may have a different view if I had.

I have two cents about ninjas too. Or maybe this would apply to PK in general. I understand that a ninja is sneaky, and that's what they do. But I think that two characters should meet IC and possibly even RP a little before they are assassinated by someone.

At least fudge -some- kind of RP reason to be attacking, especially if you're going to take a cheap shot at someone right as they've taken off all their gear... Or something equally vulnerable. Am I alone in this feeling?

I agree that the study thing is uncool. I feel totally defenseless against ninjas because some of them sneak into an area totally, so that you never see them in 'Where' or even 'Who,' and if I'd never even met a ninja before I didn't expect to need to be on guard against one five minutes after logging on. Y'know?

whats up with every kind of shuriken being made of steel when u log off:/ not cool...

Does this still happen or are you just saying past on past experience?

I fixed this a while ago.
