How will this affect the food chain overall? Will this unbalance the 'paper, rock, scissors' effect of mages and meele classes? Melee and Hybrid? Melee and Rouge? You have to cut it down to basic mud issues, i.e. will this put warriors out-of-whack?
Personally, I like the idea of a way to disarm norem/nodis weapons. But I do not think it should be implemented without serious consideration. I don't like the two rooms away part, that's way wacky. But for it to hit the owner, do damge, and fall into their inventory ain't too wacky.
there is a solution that is already available: if the imms wanted all weapons to be disarmable, they'd have made them that way. the only way there will be prefect balance is if there were only one race and only one class. If you don't like nodisarm weapons, make a class that can deal with them.
Bad idea for a skill.
I think there would be considerable balance issues.
Just one example: Dk - warrior, bye malform. If such a skill is implemented at all I'd suggest massive lag for the warrior (similar to a missed bash). Possibly disarm into inventory for noremove weapons, don't like the random two rooms away option.
Basically this would be a weaponseize upgrade, so should go with the same weapon choice.
I agree though that a warrior should have SOME skill to do beside kick (which rarely anyone uses) if he is fighting someone with a noremove, noremove shield, protective shield and flight. Now it is mostly dirt kick, wait. Hmm, perhaps we should just give kick some fun side effects (random area is hit doing random minor stat changes like str or dex -1 or possibly something else entirely).
warriors have dirt, trip, bash, disarm, kick, and shoot. That is more in-combat options than monks or blms.
You guys ARE aware that we have two flags, one for noremove, and one for nodrop, right?
Warriors can ignore one of these right now, but not the other.
IF I implemented this skill, they would likely be able again to ignore one, but not the other. Being able to ignore both would be far too strong (see malforms)

I used to play a mud where you could kick, kickr, and kicks. Kick was normal, kickr did a BIG roundhouse kick, less chance of landing but massive damage when it did, and kicks did a side kick to the stomach which did less damage but made it hard for the target to concentrate, kinda like a super mini fury.
then you count a lot different than I do. And bash works great against mages. they tend to be skinny. spells fall and there are ways to find out when.

And assuming you're fighting a clever mage, they will never stay around long enough for prot shield to drop in combat, or near combat.

It sounds like a lot of your tactics regarding bash revolve around fighting stupid opponents.
I like the idea a lot, but not for staffs.
I will ponder this with much pondering.
whips, exotics, and MAYBE swords, since swords are known by 85% of the population.\
actually i changed my mind, why dont we just give WARRIORS weapon cleave...
What will happen to weapon seize lore (exotic) after this?
I mean, what will be the point to using it.

A lot of my tactics involve me taking advantage of my opponent's weaknesses.
It isn't rocket surgery to start a fight knowing that pro shield is about to fall and then bash lock them once they are committed to the fight and it falls. I've seen it done too many times.
I don't like the idea of warriors ripping off your norem weapon which you went and got so they couldn't disarm you.
I really don't like the idea of 2 rooms away. Maybe put a norem weapon in their inventory, maybe. Its still a pretty powerful skill.
I would have thought weaponsieze would be upgraded to this rather than adding another lore....

As Behrens said, it wouldn't be able to knock both flags, if he implemented it. So they'd be two different skills, with two very different effects.
And rocket surgery... hah.
Actualy they can be ignored both.
No drop weapon can still be by regulard disarm. And Dirt kick/smoke-blind can prevent them from rewielding them.
Add the cursed disarm and we have the same effect.
Someone without a weapon.
But if it's no drop, you're more than capable of fleeing to wait out the tick. That's why you're not supposed to spam.
I think it's a ridiculous idea.
Those weapons have that flag for a reason and are carried by the mobs that have them for a reason.
If you want to do something to warriors then make kick similar to shatter and take the kick skill away from cleric, dks, etc. It would help smaller race warriors against the larger ones and give all warriors something to do when fighting people with prot shield.
No matter what class you are, always have detect magic up. That way you can time your bashes for protective shield and sanc and whatnot.
