New Warrior Lore

No more warrior stuff. Lets add more cool bard stuff

Phoenixes!

Hold your horses, this may come as a suprise........

I like this idea!!

Err.. can anyone tell me what the point will be in even getting nodisarm weapons when everyone can just disarm them? So far it's monks and blademasters, now you want warriors too?

Most noremove weapons are also nodrop.

I think you're making a jump with "Most noremove weapons are also nodrop". Just because some of them are doesn't account for most.

In response to the idea, I think it is completely unviable from a balance issue. I think people mostly agree that warriors are not "underpowered" when they have the right stuff that they need to survive. The main complaint I hear is that its too difficult to get to their state of power, and the whole bit about when you die, you lose everything.

I don't think warriors are underpowered right now. If you want to change the warrior class to make achieving a state of power easier (ie differently), than that is something completely different. That would require a bit of a re-structure to the class. However, adding a new skill to warriors is not going to fix the problem people have with them.

In fact, the people that can already get the necessary equipment to succeed will be the ones having an advantage from this skill, and the people that complain now will still be getting killed. Adding a "nifty" (read: I don't think this skill is nifty, but assuming it was) skill is something thats a little shortsighted and not going to fix the inherent quality people dislike about the warrior class.

I am in complete agreement with you that warriors are not underpowered in any way whatsoever. If you don't believe me, you can see the nine page argument that I and like one other person had versus the playerbase a couple months ago.

However, most peoples' complaints revolved around the fact that there is not much a warrior can do in combat, particularly against mages and communers. If warriors are fine the way they are now, it's because they pick good warrior lores. This wouldn't CHANGE that, it would just add some variety.

Speaking of which, when did Zrothum come back?

I like the idea a lot, but not for staffs.

I will ponder this with much pondering.

Awesome because it is indeed a great idea. When I think of a weapon that could fling a weapon several feet away out of someones hands I think of Raphael and his sais, and the weapon that would somewhat resemble one of those would be a pronged trident "polearm". Not to say I want a noremove to be flung two rooms away or even one.
