Khranin tells you 'Where are you.'

The night is about to end.

Mardutta says 'I get worked up now and again.'

Rotag says 'You should attack them.'

Koviaem pulls out an instrument.

Rotag utters the words, 'qcandusahz yaae'.

A magic steak suddenly appears.

You tell Khranin 'In Valmiran.'

An orc raider is blinded by the dirt in its eyes!

An orc raider seems to change in size and shape to match Mardutta's.

Mardutta's kicked dirt scratches an orc raider.

An orc raider mauls Mardutta.

Mardutta's slice wounds an orc raider.

Rotag utters the words, 'yrawz abrafax'.

Rotag creates a flaming arrow.

Rotag's flame arrow LACERATES an orc raider!

Mardutta's slash wounds an orc raider.

Mardutta's slice mauls an orc raider.

Mardutta's slash misses an orc raider.

Mardutta's slice injures an orc raider.

Khranin flies in.

Mardutta's eyes begin to blaze as his madness engulfs him!

You say 'A hrm.'

Khranin looks at you.

Rotag says 'Koviaem do you wish to attack them?'

Khranin peers at you intently.

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

You say 'Attack?'

You say 'I am not in the mood to attack'

An orc raider is briefly surrounded by a holy aura.

Mardutta knocks an orc raider senseless with a full on bodyslam.

Mardutta's bodyslam injures an orc raider.

Rotag's pierce grazes an orc raider.

An orc raider is DEAD!!

You receive x experience points.

Mardutta gasps for air as he snaps out of his insanity.

You hear an orc raider's death cry.

Rotag sacrifices the corpse of an orc raider in the name of a religion.

Rotag splits 64 gold coins. Your share is 21 gold coins.

Rotag removes you from his group.

Rotag says 'A pitty.'

You say 'I assumed you wished me to follow.'

You shrug.

Khranin peers at himself, crossing his eyes in the process.

[TRIBUNAL] controlled. Players near you:

Koviaem The Central Square of Val Miran

Khranin [TRIBUNAL] The Central Square of Val Miran

Rotag The Central Square of Val Miran

Mardutta The Central Square of Val Miran

Rotag scans all around.

Rotag says 'You assumed wrong.'

Mardutta says 'There are waylayers about..'

Khranin says 'I will deal with you in a moment.'

Khranin flies north.

A storm giant walks north.

You say 'Pitiful peasants.’

Koviaem once again draws forth a weird instrument from the folds of his clothing.

Khranin flies in.

Khranin looks at you.

Khranin frowns.

Rotag rides in.

Mardutta walks in.

Rotag rides west.

Mardutta walks west.

Khranin beckons for you to follow.

A resident of Val Miran walks south.

Khranin says 'You, come with me.'

Khranin nods at you in agreement.

Koviaem looks around himself and over the fountain.

Khranin shakes his head.

The Central Square of Val Miran

You stand amid the central square of Val Miran. All around you colossal

buildings rise up. The smell of commerce is in the air and the citizens of

Val Miran bustle with activity. Horse carts haul trade items for sale in

the Eastern and Western districts, and travelers and adventurers alike walk

the streets in search of new challenges.

[Exits: north east south west up]

The immediate area has been reduced to smoking rubble.

The Golden Banner of Val Miran blows in the wind here.

The official Tribunal Roll Call has been posted here.

A granite fountain is here filled with water for the thirsty.

(Charmed) A group of storm giants towers over the area.

Brendyn the Will of Gods is here.

(Translucent) (White Aura) Khranin the Ordained Councillor of the Righteous Brotherhood is here.

Khranin says 'Not you Brendyn.'

Khranin points at you. How rude!

Khranin beckons for you to follow.

Brendyn closes his eyes momentarily.

Brendyn is surrounded by a white aura.

Koviaem points at himself cautiously, 'Me?'

Khranin says quietly, 'Indeed.

Khranin peers at you intently.

Koviaem casually bows slowly, 'If you insist.'

You now follow Khranin.

***Northward we traveled through the city, Khranin never turning back to look at me***

Khranin opens the gate south of you.

Khranin flies south.

You follow Khranin.

A Garden

Flowers and bushes decorate this garden. A cobblestone path leads from

the iron gate to the mansion itself; a bench sits nearby. Whoever the

gardener is he is certainly very dedicated.

[Exits: north south]

(Translucent) (White Aura) Khranin the Ordained Councillor of the Righteous Brotherhood is here.

A storm giant walks in.

Khranin closes the gate north of you.

A storm giant disappears.

Khranin sits down on the bench.

Khranin says 'Mind explaining yourself?'

Koviaem looks about the garden.

A royal entourage surrounds Khranin, thus protecting him.

Koviaem slowly walks over to a low brush.

Koviaem examines a delicate flower and slowly speaks, 'Explain, explain what?'

Khranin intently stares at you; 'You know exactly what, damn it.

***Of course, I knew what the Tribune was asking for. However, I wanted to see what was going through his mind, and what his spies may have discovered about what went on between me and his wife***

Koviaem continues his examination of the flower.

Khranin says 'Damn the flower, you pay attention to me when I speak to you.'

You say 'I am sorry I cannot answer an order that has no meaning.'

Koviaem turns to face you.

Khranin says 'Why is Meriumae dead for one.'

Koviaem rolls the word on his tongue, as if licking the very word, 'Meriumae.'

Khranin narrows his eyes, 'I suggest you start speaking, boy.

Koviaem draws his head down as if in silent contemplation.

You say 'I am no boy, old man.'

Khranin says 'You are in my eyes.'

Khranin says 'Now, out with it.'

Khranin says 'Before I have you arrested.'

Khranin folds his arms across his chest.

Koviaem explosively sighs.

You say 'What do you want..'

You say 'She killed herself.'

***Which was not false in the least. The woman couldn’t handle the information I gave her, and therefore she was a dramatist in the end.***

Khranin says 'She mentioned you.'

Khranin says 'What do you have to do with the demon?'

You say 'Yes, I got her note.'

You say 'Demon?'

Khranin closes his eyes momentarily.

Khranin closes his eyes momentarily.

You say 'Ah yes.'

Khranin says 'And why should I not have you thrown in jail and locked away?'

Koviaem grins softly.

You say 'The demon..'

Khranin taps his foot.

You say 'Absolutely nothing was the demon's doing.'

Khranin says 'No, it was yours.'

You say 'Your wife died by her own hand.'

Khranin says 'That isn't what I was told.'

You say 'Oh'

You say 'Then tell me what your large ears have heard..'

Koviaem smugly folds his arms across his chest.

Khranin says 'You are the slave of Malchaeius, as far as I know.'

Khranin says 'So, the better question is this...'

Khranin says 'Why should I not arrest you for conspiracy and murder?'

Khranin looks at you.

Khranin sheathes his weapon.

The night is about to end.

Khranin phases back into existence.

You are hungry.

Khranin closes his eyes momentarily.

Khranin phases out of existence.

Koviaem grins again at the mention of the demon lord's name.

You say 'Conspiracy against what?'

Khranin says 'The Empire.'

You say 'And whom?'

Khranin says 'If you are in league with he, you are a traitor.'

Khranin says 'And a murderer...'

Khranin looks at you.

Khranin waits patiently.

You must be tired.

You say 'Again..'

You say 'I did not murder anyone'

You roll your eyes in disgust.

Khranin says 'Then what did you do?'

Khranin sends for additional guards to protect Khranin.

A group of elven magess arrive at Khranin's side!

You say 'I had a bonding with my mother.'

You say 'Surprised?'

Khranin growls, 'Enough of this.

You say 'I did tell you the truth long ago,.'

Khranin says 'Explain exactly what happened.'

You sigh.

***Long ago I had spoken to the disfigured Noble in a tavern known by the residents of Rheydin. I had given him the answers to my birth and how. Yet he was overconfident, puffed-up, as they say, with his newly found lifestyle and good fortunes. His words discredited my findings and the story of his adopted son. Well, ill begets those who fail to listen to those who would give them keys to success***

You say 'I reiterated what I had told you long ago to Meriumae.'

You say 'And she has seen the truth'

You say 'Where you have not'

Khranin begins to stand.

You are hungry.

Your hunger hits you.

Khranin says 'I have had enough.'

You say 'Am I to blame for your treachery?'

You chuckle politely.

You say 'You have caused her death'

Khranin growls, 'You should choose another surname, boy.

You say 'Through your stubborness'

Khranin says 'You are no son of mine.'

You chuckle politely.

You are hungry.

Your hunger hits you.

You say 'Then forsake her last wishes'

Khranin says 'Oh? I did? Please tell how.'

You say 'You failed to see the truth'

You grin evilly.

Khranin says 'What truth?'

You are hungry.

Your hunger hits you.

You say 'I AM Meriumae'

Khranin raises an eyebrow.

You say 'And she IS me'

***This is a half-truth, a mere twisting of what had happened. But my adoptive-father would take it to his grave within his mind as the sole truth. I have created an even bigger passage for chaos to enter his mind.***

Khranin says 'Is that right?'

You are starving.

Your hunger injures you.

Khranin smirks.

Khranin looks at you.

You are starving.

Your hunger hits you.

You say 'Anything else'

Khranin says 'I have heard enough.'

Khranin phases back into existence.

You are starving.

Your hunger hits you.

Khranin closes his eyes momentarily.

Khranin phases out of existence.

You chuckle politely.

Khranin says 'You are no son of mine.'

You say 'You are a terrible husband'

Khranin says 'And you will gain nothing from my death.'

Koviaem laughs evilly.

Khranin says 'You will never take any position of power, and mark my words, if even a toe steps out of line, you will be arrested.'

You say 'Even now you are no husband to Meriumae'

The sun slowly disappears in the west.

You are thirsty.

You are starving.

Your hunger injures you.

Khranin says 'No, you killed her.'

Koviaem slowly bows with sarcasm.

The night has begun.

You are thirsty.

You are starving.

Your hunger injures you.

Khranin says 'You will reap what you have sewn, boy.'

Khranin says 'Remember.'

You say 'Heed her note.'

You say 'Read it.'

Khranin says 'I read it.'

Khranin says 'She implicates you.'

Khranin opens the gate north of you.

Khranin says 'I've other things to take care of.'

You say 'I ask one last thing.'

Khranin begins to walk away, 'What?

You say 'What do you think I am.'

Khranin says 'I don't know anymore.'

Khranin flies north.

An elven mage walks north.

The Blood Guard walks north.

You cackle gleefully.

Koviaem brings out his instrument once again.

Koviaem fingers the long thin bones that make up the pipe.

Koviaem slowly draws the instrument to his lips.

With one flowing breath from Koviaem a sound of complete and utter pain is uttered from the hollow bones.

***As the sun sets, a cloaked man stands still and silent in a garden. When the final rays of sunlight are swallowed by the night blackness, he is gone.***
