You no longer feel the need to sleep!

You toss and turn but can't manage to sleep soundly.

You toss and turn but can't manage to sleep soundly.

You toss and turn but can't manage to sleep soundly.

You wake and stand up.

In Drkshtyre Wood

Black Oak trees are all around - it makes it extremely difficult to move

about. It is extremely dark and very difficult to see. There is an ancient

feel to this forest - as if this wooded dell has been around since the

beginning of time. In the distance, you hear a battle cry and the clashing

of metal, wood, and fire.

[Exits: east west]

( 2) A pile of gold coins.

The torn-out heart of a crystal ooze is lying here.

The corpse of a grey ooze is lying here.

A giant spider is here, waiting to suck your blood.

(Charmed) an Alsatian is sleeping here.

A giant spider is here, waiting to suck your blood.

You ponder the question.

The world around you seems to swim, as though seen through a sheen of water.

Zleiaur rubs his head.

An Alsatian wakes and stands up.

You rub your eyes, red and raw, but it doesn't seem to help.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Zleiaur blinks several times, swaying back and forth.

Your body aches. Your mind moves slowly. Your movements seem to stop and go.

You say 'Wh.. what...?'

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Zleiaur stumbles backward into the stump of a tree, falling onto his behind.

You can't get into a comfortable position on the back of a white stallion.

You dismount from a white stallion.

You sit down.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Your horse neighs and whinnies as you tumble from it's back, but the sound seems as though it's coming from far off. In to someone else's ears.

Zleiaur tries to scan his surroundings as he rubs his head, but to no avail.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

The darkness of the forest appears to be closing in on you.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Zleiaur barely manages to keep his eyes open, blinking slower, and slower..

Zleiaur reaches for the Alsatian, who seems unaffected by whatever ails Zleiaur.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Sounds come to you, softly. They sound muffled, but there. You can't quite make them out...

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Zleiaur drops his chin, nodding off.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

You are suddenly overcome with exhaustion.

You can't see anything, you're sleeping!

You can wake up now.

You wake up and start resting.

Room "01"

This average sized room has all the comforts of an average inn. A small,

yet comfortable looking cot is in the corner, while a few chairs sit around

a small wooden table. A single candle is all that is used to illuminate

this room, as the one window on the western wall has been covered from the

outside.

[Exits: (east)]

A small wooden round table is here in the middle of the room.

A comfortable looking cot is here waiting for you to lay in.

You awaken in bed, clad in fine white garments. The surroundings appear strangely familiar. In the background, you can hear the muffled conversation of bar patrons at play nearby.

Zleiaur rubs his temples with a groan.

Zleiaur pushes himself off of the bed and brushes himself off.

You stand up.

Zleiaur stares down at his white clothes, boggled. 'Wha.. hm.'

You open the door east of you.

** Zleiaur climbs through several hallways lined with closed doors, following the sounds of

voices and laughter **

Zleiaur stumbles clumsily through the hallways.

Zleiaur slumps his shoulders, exclaiming loudly. 'Where.. am I?'

** He finally makes it to a bar where an odd dwarf (dirty, too) is taking orders **

North Bar

Unlike the other half of the bar (which extends to towards the front

door), this one is messier. Spilled liquids covers most surfaces;

alcohol-soaked rags lie here and there, too full of liquid to be of any

further use at the moment. Surprisingly, both halves have about the same

number of patrons. To each their own.

[Exits: north east south west]

A large dwarven fellow is here attending to this side of the bar.

You hear a voice greet you; 'Oi! Look whos up!'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Hoy there!'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep must like you a great deal to beam at you so broadly!

Zleiaur turns his head toward the voice. 'Uhhe..rr..'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Been so long, we were wond'rin if you'd ever come back.'

Zleiaur rubs his forehead as he leans against the bar. 'Where.. am.. who..'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep idly wipes clean a cup - and by the looks of things, doing a poor job of it.

Zleiaur grumbles. 'What?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep snorts derisively.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'What indeed.'

Zleiaur takes a good look at Tugok, blinking several times.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Go on, take your time. You were gone a long while.'

Zleiaur sits onto a stool.

You say 'Where was I?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep shrugs. 'Who can say? I'm not a Dreamer.'

Zleiaur grabs a handful of his clothes, pushing them forward. 'And what're these?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Something to drink? Mayhap it'll wake you up some.'

You say 'I.. don't remember wearing.. these.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep peers at you intently.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Thems there your clothes, brother.'

Zleiaur slumps his shoulders. 'I need a drink to clear this headache, at least.'

You buy a deep cup of rum.

'So,' the hefty dwarf says, handing you a drink, 'Where were ya this time?'

Zleiaur holds up the rum, taking a sip. 'A forest.. I think.'

You say 'Well, yes. A forest. Full of oozes.'

'Oh yeah?' he returns. 'And what'd they call ye in that thar forest?'

The elf stares at Togok. 'I seem to recall Himmah calling me Zleiaur'

You say 'That.. is my name, isn't it?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep guffaws something fierce!

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Oi, have something to eat. You look famished.'

You eat a roasted duck.

You eat a roasted duck.

You are full.

Zleiaur smiles briefly. 'Th.. ank you.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'You people... I tell you, I wish I could live like you do. Every night a new adventure.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep chuckles to himself, wiping at his dirty cup.

You say 'Not sure what you mean.'

Zleiaur drinks from his cup again.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep leans over the bar, resting his chin on hairy forearms. 'A dreamer, brother,' he says.

Zleiaur burries his head into his hands.

You say 'Forgive me.. uhm..'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Ah, poor lad. You been gone to long, it looks.'

You say 'Tugok, was it?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'That's th'name!'

' This place is familiar. ' the Elf begins, sighing. 'But I have no idea where I am.. or how I got here.' Zleiaur says.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep snorts derisively.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Right, I figured this might happen.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep stands straight, puffing out his chest. 'Yer name's Johnthon. Been a guest here I'm thinkin'... near 'bout eight months.'

Zleiaur looks at his empty hands, suddenly swinging it toward Tugok. 'I used to wield a sword, for Aabahran's sake!'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says ''Course, it's hard to say. Yer set up in oh-one, and hardly ever come out, consider'n what ye are.'

Zleiaur says frankly. 'A dreamer.'

You sigh.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'That's right.. startin' to remember?'

Zleiaur grumbles. 'Not quite.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep drums his meaty fingers on the bar. 'Alright then...'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Yall dreamers, see, you have this... well, some say gift, some say curse..'

You say 'Has this happened before?'

Zleiaur taps his chin, leaning back. 'Okay...'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Sometimes yer sleep fer days, imaginin' places that may be real or fake - none can say. You live other lives, in different places.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Sometimes a whole lifetime flies by in a night - sometimes yall wake up in the middle... kind of like you right now. All confused.'

You say 'And... this is considered a gift? To dream about.. false places?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Hence the curse-bit. Oft seems yall lose your real identity chasin' the fake one.'

You say 'Who says I'm not dreaming now?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep chuckles, waggling his bushy eye-brows. 'Now see, there's that... whatcha callit... conundrums. What is real? What aint?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep winks suggestively at you.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Lemme ask ye.... does this seem real to you?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep pinches your bottom and grins.

Zleiaur moves off of the bar stool. 'Now.. that was rude.'

Zleiaur rubs his behind, grumbling.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep guffaws once again. 'There 'e goes, his panties all in a twist. But I'm makin' a point.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'See you Dreamers...'

You say 'The oozes digestion seemed rather real too. .. In my face, real, at that.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Gets hard to tell what's real, and what ain't. Both reality and the Dreams take on similar.. whatsit... characteristics.'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'You should see Kingsley. He's the one 'ere who looks after you lot.'

You ponder the question.

You say 'And where's this Kingsley?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep shrugs his large (for a dwarf) shoulders. 'Usually found in the master bedroom, he is. One for the one?'

Players near you:

Kingsley Eastern garden of the Master Suite

You ponder the question.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'Er, for the road, that is.. seems I been samplin' my own product.'

You say 'Back up the stairs?'

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep snickers softly.

Tugok, the dwarven barkeep says 'I'm sure you'll find it there fine, Jonthon.'

You grumble distractedly to yourself.

** "Jonthon" finds his way through the hallways again, to the Master bedroom.

Problem is, is it's locked. **

Obvious exits:

North - Western hall way of the third floor

(East ) - Entry hall of the Master Suite.

South - Western hall way of the third floor.

Western hall way of the third floor

Reaching the end of the Western hall, you find a grand crystal window to

your north, shining in beautiful sunlight on everything around you. To your

west, a large oaken set door reads "JESTER'S ROOM". You your south, the

rest of the western hallway stretches on for quite some way.

[Exits: south (west)]

A human maid runs back and forth, cleaning up wherever she can.

You yell 'Kingsley!'

Zleiaur bangs on the door.

You yell 'It's.. Johnthon.. yes, uh. .Open the door!'

Kingsley yells 'One moment.'

Zleiaur leans up against the wall next to the door, sighing.

The door opens, permitting a figure to step free.

Kingsley says 'You called?'

Kingsley looks at you.

You say 'Uh.. Togok sent me. Said you could.. help.'

You peer intently at Kingsley.

Kingsley peers at you over his spectacles. 'I see, what appears to be the problem?

You say 'I have NO idea where I am, and Togok claims I'm some sort of dreamer, and that things like this "happen" and that my name is Johnthon.'

Zleiaur rambles more, but it seems to just go on.. and on.. and on.

'Fine, fine,' Kingsley says, lifting his hands. 'Just calm down. One moment.'

Kingsley opens the door east of you.

Kingsley says 'Come in.'

Kingsley closes up the shop for the night.

Kingsley yawns and settles down for a few hours of sleep.

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley walks east.

Grand hall of the Master Suite.

This room itself is easily as large as most the other rooms within this

inn. All around you, vases and plants, tapestries and paintings, rugs and

carpet. The owners of the Drunken Mediator have gone to great lengths to

keep this suite, above all others, in nearly perfect condition. To your

north, sunlight can be seen from a patio, while to your east and south two

very finely carved doors are set into the wall.

[Exits: north (east) (south) west]

Kingsley, the resident doctor, pours over a patient's chart.

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Zleiaur blinks slowly.

Kingsley says 'I seem so.... tired.'

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley opens the door east of you.

Kingsley walks east.

Bed chamber of the Master Suite

Before you, a massive bedroom is prepared of the current owner of this

room. A bed of rich design and creation awaits your tired bones along the

eastern wall, while perfect silence from the rest of the poor world calms

your senses. To your north, a huge walk in closet is behind closed doors,

while to your west leads back to the main hall.

[Exits: (north) west]

Kingsley is sleeping here.

You say 'That's.. what happened to me!'

You poke her in the ribs.

Zleiaur exclaims, 'That's just greaaaat.'

Zleiaur sits on the edge of the bed.

Kingsley snores fitfully.

Zleiaur shakes Kingsley suddenly. 'Wake. Up.'

You grumble distractedly to yourself.

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley says 'Sorry, I am closed. Come back later.'

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

Zleiaur burries his head into his hands again, likely giving up.

Snnnoooorrreee.

Zleiaur kicks Kingsley with his outstretched foot.

Kingsley stumbles some, but it doesn't seem to rouse him.

Zleiaur groans. 'How annoying.'

You say 'First she sleeps, and now she snores.'

Zleiaur stares up at the ceiling.

SSSSNNNNNNNOOOOOORRRRRRREEEEEEEEE

Kingsley wakes up and heads downstairs for work.

Kingsley says 'This shop is now opened for business!'

Kingsley says 'Eh? What? Where am I...'

Kingsley rubs her eyes.

You grumble distractedly to yourself.

You say 'You fell asleep.'

Kingsley says 'I did? Who.. who are you?'

Zleiaur points at your wrinkled clothes. 'Obviously on the floor, too.'

Kingsley peers at you intently.

You say 'You're.. Kingsley?'

You say 'And I'm.. uh.. Johnthon.'

You shrug.

Kingsley says 'OH! Right... I had the most imcredible dream... you see, I was a shop-keeper..'

Kingsley says ',,,but that's neithere here nor there. What did you want?'

You say 'You're.. a dreamer?'

'I am,' Kingsley says with a yawn, sitting up. 'As are you, Johnthon.'

Zleiaur leans back onto the bed, sighing. 'Of course I am..'

Kingsley says 'Now, what's this fuss all about?'

Still laying back, Zleiaur quietly drones. 'Togak said you'd help. I don't remember a thing.'

Kingsley says 'Ahh yes.'

Kingsley says 'You've forgotten who you are.'

Kingsley says 'It happens sometimes, after prolonged visits to your Dreams.'

Kingsley says 'It's fine, though. It comes back in time.'

Kingsley says 'Here, I'll give you a sedative to help you..'

Kingsley closes up the shop for the night.

Kingsley yawns and settles down for a few hours of sleep.

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

You say 'Really!?'

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley leans close, something glinting shiny in her hands.

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

Zleiaur stares.

You no longer feel the need to sleep!

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

Kingsley wakes and stands up.

Kingsley mutters sleepily. 'Dreams... seem so ... real.. sometimes....

Kingsley grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Kingsley yawns and goes to sleep.

Zleiaur rubs his temples. 'Ow.'

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

You eyes grow heavy as the sedative begins to take effect.

Zleiaur leans back onto the bed again, sleepily yawning.

You say 'I.. truly hate this feeling.'

Your vision swirls and darkens. It becomes more difficult to focus...

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Zleiaur turns his head over towards Kingsley, his eyes bulging left and right.

You can almost swear you hear the sounds of the forest surrounding you. The rustle of leaf and branch. The sounds of forest creatures making their way through the underbrush...

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Things grow darker still until only the bed remains in your vision. And.... a tree.

So green and vivid, almost as though it truly were right there before you.

You can't focus from your deprivation of sleep.

Zleiaur breathes in deeply, staring up at what he thinks are the lowest branches of a tree.

Zleiaur extends a hand, grasping for it.

You are suddenly overcome with exhaustion.

You can wake up now.

You wake up and start resting.

( 3) A pile of gold coins.

A giant spider is here, waiting to suck your blood.

As you awaken, you find yourself once again amidst the forests. Everything seems clear.... as clear as it was in the inn.

It certainly leads one to wonder....

Zleiaur holds up a cup of rum, chuckling.

You drink rum from a deep cup of rum.

You drop a deep cup of rum.

Zleiaur shakes his head, slowly pushing himself to his feet.

You say 'Nnao.. can'T be.'
