[47 Faeri Inv] Quillyx the Archmage

[ Ogre ] Garank the Greater Demon Slayer

[ Human ] Asares the Greater Assassin

[ Fire ] Fruter the Master of Iron

[ Gnome ] [sAVANT] Gardo Mumbleton the Scourge of the Battlefield

Gardo tells you 'Hey there, little lady. I don't think we've met.'

You tell Gardo 'Heyyy! Hihihih'

Gardo tells you 'The name's Gardo Mumbleton, Master Magician of Tarandue, Battlemage of the Savants.'

You tell Gardo 'I am Quillyx! Hihihi! How are you?'

Gardo tells you 'Oh, quite good, little lady Quillyx, quite good indeed. It's a pleasure to meet you.'

Gardo tells you 'And you? Doing good as well, I hope?'

You tell Gardo 'It's good talking to you! Unlike the rude warmasters...'

Gardo tells you 'Ah, yes, the Warmongers aren't always the nicest.'

You tell Gardo 'I met their leader the other day... he was very rude to me and that made me sad.'

=====

A bit of explanation here - I was hunting the other day, Grylok was in the lands and I asked him if he could help.

My RP being of a cheerful little faerie, he told me he would but only if I wouldn't giggle so much. He said

it annoyed him. I found that rude and told him I wouldn't spend time with someone who is rude. Lol

He would have taken me to pinn probably, but it would have been OOC for me.

=====

Gardo tells you 'Ah, yes, he wasn't very nice when I met him either... though he seemed to find me funny after we talked a bit.'

Gardo tells you 'He was "looking forward to butchering my corpse", which I suppose in a way is kind of sweet, but...'

Gardo tells you 'Well, I guess the sentiment just doesn't translate across cultures that well.'

You tell Gardo 'I think he was just in a bad moot when we met hihihi.'

Gardo tells you 'Ahh, well, I can't blame him too much there... the war's not been going the Warmonger's way lately.'

Gardo tells you 'Kind of ironic, now that I think about it...'

You tell Gardo 'Why ironic?'

Gardo tells you 'Well... War not going well for Warmongers...'

Gardo tells you 'Seems kind of ironic to me.'

You tell Gardo 'Hihihi.'

You tell Gardo 'I don't understand them. I can't even lift a sword!'

Gardo tells you 'Well, I understand liking a good sword and all...'

You tell Gardo 'Ah yes, they are very shiny!'

=========

I am hunting demons while we are talking, but a big one enters the room while I was fireballing

and that made me recall. On my way to the pentagram again, I meet Gardo in person.

A desolate road

Desert surrounds the north and the south, and you feel alone and tired.

The sun beats down on this ground relentlessly, and the air has no moisture.

Dry, cracked mud is beneath you, and the wind kicks dust clouds into your

face. It is very quiet here, and you feel alone.

[Exits: north east south west]

A staging camp being overrun by Savant.

The time elemental attacking Warmaster.

( 2) Vultures pick at remains of a group of Warlords.

( 2) Vultures pick at remains of the Time Elemental.

You notice a few spots of blood on the ground.

(Translucent) Gardo the Scourge of the Battlefield is here, sitting astride a white stallion.

You say 'Hiii!'

Gardo gives an excessively formal bow.

You say 'Nice to meet you in person.'

Gardo says 'My, you're a quiet one.'

Gardo peers at you intently.

Flies buzz incessantly around piles of decaying corpses.

Gardo says 'Must be those little wings...'

Gardo sits down and thinks deeply.

Gardo says 'But there's no buzz like a bee. Strange...'

You giggle.

Her tiny wings fluttering with energy, Quillyx shoots playfully from Gardo's left side to his right, then to his left and then back to his right.

Gardo blinks innocently.

Gardo says 'You've got too much energy, little lady, flitting about like that.'

You say 'What are they fighting about?'

You giggle.

Gardo looks at the battle. 'Oh... well... uh... about that...'

Gardo says 'See, the leader of that Camp, he... uh...'

You scratch yourself on the head... confused.

Quillyx spreads her tiny wings and spirals energetically towards the sky!

Gardo points and says 'He insulted the mother of that big Elemental over there...'

Gardo shakes his head.

Gardo says 'A truly repulsive insult, from what I was told.'

You say 'Not surprised! He is rude like that.'

Gardo nods.

Gardo says 'So, well, I figured we should teach him some manners.'

Gardo says 'It seemed the decent thing to do.'

You say 'Oh I don't like fighting, but when it's with educational purpose...'

Gardo says 'OH, very educational!'

Gardo says 'Us Savants, we're all about the educating!'

Gardo says 'Magic and Manners.'

You say 'I am looking for some information!'

Gardo sits down and thinks deeply.

Gardo says 'What kind of information?'

You say 'I am looking for something secret!'

Gardo says 'Well, I know of a secret or two.'

You say 'The other faeries in Gualorium said there war a secret faction of mages somewhere in Aabahran!'

You say 'I am looking for it!'

You say 'Heard anything about it!?'

Gardo says 'Well, I suppose they could've been talking about us Savants, but I didn't think we were much of a secret...'

Gardo sits down and thinks deeply.

Gardo says 'Perhaps the psionicists? They've got some crazy magics.'

You say 'You savants are all about magic then?'

Gardo nods.

Gardo nods.

Gardo nods.

Gardo says 'Oh yes.'

You say 'Who are those psionicists?'

Gardo says 'Well, they don't use spells... well, not incantations, at least.'

Gardo sits down and thinks deeply.

You scratch yourself on the head... confused.

Gardo says 'From what I hear, they just use magic by thinking it.'

A chilling scream echoes through the area!

You see vultures wheel and cry overhead.

Flies buzz incessantly around piles of decaying corpses.

A Staging Camp has been CAPTURED!

Gardo says 'Quite the trick.'

Gardo spreads open a tactical map of Forsaken Lands.

You say 'Oh!?'

The Time Elemental begins to patrol the area.

The Time Elemental begins to patrol the area.

You say 'So they don't use powerful words like you and me?'

The Time Elemental garrison the Mana Sphere.

The Time Elemental garrison the Mana Sphere.

Gardo shakes his head.

Gardo says 'No words.'

Gardo rolls up the tactical maps.

You see vultures wheel and cry overhead.

An ominous crackling of dark energies echos through the night!

You say 'Hmmm....'

You say 'Think that's just what I am looking for!'

Gardo shrugs helplessly.

The Mana Sphere floats far above, humming with weird energies.

Vultures pick at remains of a group of Warlords.

Vultures pick at remains of the Time Elemental.

You notice a few spots of blood on the ground.

(Translucent) Gardo is resting here.

Gardo says 'At least, that's what I hear.'

You say 'This magic is very important to me.'

Gardo shrugs helplessly.

A chilling scream echoes through the area!

The air around Gardo blurs and shimmers momentarily.

Flies buzz incessantly around piles of decaying corpses.

Remains of the Time Elemental crumbles into dust.

A blood chilling scream pierces the desert!

Gardo says 'I like the words! Good for showmanship.'

You say 'I can't live without it!'

You say 'When I was a young little baby I was paralyzed!'

Gardo looks at you.

Gardo says 'How'd that happen?'

You say 'Later on, I regained my movements.'

You say 'Can you imagine? Me paralyzed? Hihihi.'

Gardo shakes his head.

Gardo says 'You seem to be moving fine now.'

Gardo says 'Flitting about and all.'

You say 'The more I was growing up, the more energetic I would get!'

You giggle.

The night is about to end.

A blood chilling scream pierces the desert!

Gardo nods. 'Well, that's good. Quite convenient, in fact.'

You say 'Soo... other faeries were wondering what was going on.'

Gardo spreads open a tactical map of Forsaken Lands.

Gardo rolls up the tactical maps.

You say 'So they started some magic things to inspect me!'

You giggle.

Gardo blinks innocently.

You giggle.

Quillyx flies in circles around Gardo.

You say 'Weee!'

Gardo says 'That sounds like an invasion of privacy.'

An ominous crackling of dark energies echos through the night!

Gardo chuckles politely.

You say 'Well, they tried! Was hard for me to sit in one place though!'

You giggle.

The sun rises in the east.

A chilling scream echoes through the area!

You feel a bit lighter.

Remains of a group of Warlords crumbles into dust.

A blood chilling scream pierces the desert!

You say 'So, some mages came up with this theory.'

You say 'I don't understand it much, but it goes like this:'

You say 'They say all faeries were connected to the Timestream.'

Gardo listens intently.

You say 'I think they call it otherwise though... Vortex?'

You say 'Or are they two different things?!'

Quillyx giggles mischievously, 'Hihihi'.

Gardo shrugs helplessly.

Gardo says 'Not sure, really.'

Gardo says 'Haven't gotten too far into my own studies yet.'

You say 'Sooo...'

You say 'They say I am paralyzed, even now.'

You say 'Strange eh?'

Gardo blinks innocently.

Gardo says 'Uh... but... you...'

You say 'But they say my connection to this Vortex, so strong that magic helps me move!'

The Time Elemental completes the fortifications.

You giggle.

Her tiny wings fluttering with energy, Quillyx shoots playfully from Gardo's left side to his right, then to his left and then back to his right.

You say 'You get it? Get it?'

Gardo says 'Ahhh... yes...'

Gardo sits down and thinks deeply.

Gardo says 'I understand, yes.'

You say 'I don't really.'

You giggle.

Gardo shrugs helplessly.

Gardo says 'You're using the magic without thinking about it, reflexively.'

Gardo says 'That's a rare gift.'

Gardo sits down and thinks deeply.

Gardo says 'I think.'

Gardo says 'I suppose it could be all over with faeries.'

You say 'Could be!'

You giggle.

Gardo says 'So, the important thing is not to lose your magics.'

You say 'Yes!'

You say 'Exactly!'

You say 'You are smarter than you look!'

Quillyx giggles mischievously, 'Hihihi'.

You say 'It's a strange thing you know... so I decided to leave Gualorium and try to study this Vortex.'

Gardo says 'Well, the Savant Tower is definitely the place to do that.'

Gardo says 'There's more old knowledge locked away in there than an Elf could read in his lifetime.'

A black scorpion yells 'Help! a sand golem is trying to bash me!'

Xesphusi rides in.

Xesphusi rides east.

Gardo yells 'Be careful, little guy!'

Xesphusi yells 'Wut'

Gardo yells 'I was talking to the sentient scorpion!'

You say 'So you say I can learn more about this Vortex in the tower? And if it's same thing as your Timestream?'

The sun slowly disappears in the west.

The sky is getting cloudy.

Your protective shield dissipates.

You are suddenly thrown back with huge force.

An ominous crackling of dark energies echos through the night!

Gardo nods.

Gardo nods.

You say 'That sounds interesting!'

Gardo says 'Definitely the place for that kind of studying.'

Gardo says 'I'm new to the Temporums, but I'll be getting to studying that kind of thing very soon.'

You say 'How do I join you Savants?'

Gardo phases back into existence.

A blood chilling scream pierces the desert!

Gardo says 'Ah, first you join the Hourglass clan, located in Maelbrim.'

You say 'It's there? Never seen it. Nope.'

Gardo spreads open a tactical map of Forsaken Lands.

Gardo rolls up the tactical maps.

Gardo beckons for you to follow.

Gardo says 'I'll show you.'

You stand up.

You now follow Gardo.

========

Walking... walking....

========

Entrance to the Hourglass Clan

The entrance to the Hourglass is stark, a work in progress. A small,

steep path leads into the building above.

[Exits: north up]

(Translucent) Gardo the Scourge of the Battlefield is here.

Shermak the Hourglass Clanguard stands here keeping watch.

Shermak the Hourglass Clanguard tells you 'If you seek to join Hourglass the cost is 30000 gold.'

Gardo waves to Shermak the Hourglass Clanguard.

Gardo says 'Hey there Shermak.'

You say 'Heyy you!'

Gardo blinks innocently.

You tell your group 'Hihihi, will they make me wear a monocle?'

Gardo says 'A monocle...?'

Gardo sits down and thinks deeply.

You say 'Yes you know...'

Gardo says 'Well, they never made me wear one.'

Gardo says 'And I've been in the Hourglass for decades.'

You say 'Oh that is good!'

You say 'So I just pay him and he lets me in?'

Gardo nods.

Gardo says 'Maintaining a library isn't cheap, you know.'

Gardo says 'Taxes to be paid, books to buy and maintain...'

You say 'Alright, here goes nothing!'

You give Shermak the Hourglass Clanguard 30000 gold.

You are now a member of Hourglass.

Shermak the Hourglass Clanguard says 'Welcome to the halls of Hourglass Quillyx.'

[Hourglass](Inductee) Quillyx: 'Oh hey!'

Talgrath tells you 'EROOOOOOO'

You tell Talgrath 'Heyyy mister!'

You tell Talgrath 'You got your little axe back?'

Talgrath tells you 'RROOOOOO NNO'

[Hourglass]: 'A Clan Quest has been handed out. The first to complete it shall have the reward.'

the Clanmaster has given you a quest!

[Hourglass](Trusted) Gardo: 'Ooh, a competition!'

You tell Talgrath 'Oh that bad, I help you one day!'

[Hourglass](Trusted) Gardo: 'Sometimes Shermak likes to mess with people.'

You giggle.

You say 'I should be going now, thanks for showing me this Hourglass!'

Gardo smiles happily.

You wave goodbye to Gardo.

Gardo says 'Happy to help, little lady.'

You say 'See you soon mister!'

Gardo says 'If you need help with anything else, just let me know!'

You say 'Sure!'

[Hourglass](Veteran) Naretulu: 'Perhaps Tamara has somethings I can do in the mean time.'

[Hourglass](Inductee) Quillyx: 'Weeee!'

Gardo gives an excessively formal bow.
