A Knighting

Rayne twirls her lance and points it to the ground as she kneels, her head lowered and eyes averted.

Ryvin smiles at you.

Tenzai bows deeply.

You say 'My lord, Duke Ryvin.'

Tenzai says 'M'lady...a pleasure to meet you.'

Ryvin nods to you, 'Greetings, Watchwoman Rayne. Rise.

Rayne turns toward Tenzai, 'And you, sir.'

Ryvin says 'I must pray, and prepare myself.'

Tenzai nods.

Rayne stands, sheathing her glaive.

Ryvin sinks to his knees, and makes the sign of the cross before begining to pray quietly.

Tenzai stands to one said, awaiting instruction.

Rayne pushes back her long white hair, that has been tied by a thin leather band.

-Ryvin spends a couple hours in prayer.-

Ryvin says quietly, 'Amen.

Ryvin makes the sign of the cross once more and rises.

Ryvin nods to you, 'Are you prepared to begin?

Rayne stares at Ryvin with her white glowing eyes, 'Of course, Duke Ryvin.'

Ryvin nods, 'Kneel.

Tenzai observes solemnly with his hands clasped behind his back.

Rayne kneels before Duke Ryvin, eyes averted, and hands folded on erected knee.

Ryvin says 'First, I must ask you swear an oath, to God, Crown, and King.'

Ryvin continues, 'Rayne Ghostguard..

Ryvin says 'To be a Knight, is to accept many duties upon yourself, to uphold through life and death.'

Rayne listens with complete concentration, her eyes glowing a tad brighter.

Ryvin stares down at you, 'To this end, it is required of you to hold yourself to the highest standard.

Ryvin continues, 'To be a good Knight, and a good woman so that God may love thee.

Ryvin says 'To protect the innocent.'

Ryvin says 'To battle the wicked.'

Ryvin says 'To speak the truth, even if it leads to your death.'

Ryvin looks up to the sky, 'To always hold the Lord in your heart, and remember your service to him, to your country, and to your King.

Rayne remains motionless as the Duke speaks.

Ryvin turns his gaze back down to you, 'These are the principals and requirements which you are to uphold, all your life.

Ryvin says 'Do you so swear to act in such a manner, as Watchwoman and Knight of the True King?'

Rayne raisers her head, looks first toward heaven, then toward the Knight Castle, then toward the Duke, 'I swear it. First to God, then to Country, then to the True King and his family.'

With a nod, Ryvin says, 'That is your oath.' Raising his arm slightly, he slaps you, just hard enough to sting a bit, 'And that is so you remember it.'

Ryvin draws his sword with a ringing metallic noise.

Tenzai winces in agony.

Rayne remains kneeling, letting the cheek sting.

Placing the tip of the blade on your right shoulder, Ryvin says, 'I dub thee, Rayne Ghostguard, Watchwoman and Knight of the True King, and the Cormac line.

Ryvin nods and smiles, 'Arise, Watchwoman Rayne.

Rayne raises, and folds her hands over her sword hilt.

Ryvin smiles at you, and then wraps his arms around her in a hug. 'Welcome.

The white eyes of Rayne glow intensely during the hug.

Tenzai turns to you, 'Congratulations, I am honored to bear witness.'

Ryvin pulls back slightly and smiles at you, 'Congratulations.

Rayne looks toward Tenzai, 'I thank you for making this official, and witnessing this Knighthood.'

Ryvin turns to Tenzai, 'Aye, indeed. Thank you for witnessing this.

Tenzai nods saying,'An honor I am proud to bear witness to.'

You say 'God is blessing us. His favor will come in bounds upon this family.'

Tenzai nods.

Ryvin nods.

Ryvin glances around the area, 'Someday this place will be restored to its true glory.

Ryvin says 'As the Heart of Aabahran.'

Tenzai says 'All in good time...'
