Then one day, one of them had enough of being an easy target, of being the victim and prayed to the gods to level the playing field. His wish was granted and some of his abilities were greatly boosted: His regeneration was enhanced beyond the usual, he was more resistant to his enemy's magic and his natural armor was also enhanced. He also felt slightly more healthy and dexterous than before and could concentrate a little longer. With this blessing also came a warning: he was told he'd lose this advantage the moment he claimed his 10th victory in a battle against someone of note. No organization would allow him to progress beyond the trusted rank either, until such a time he no longer needed this divine help. He was told he would be able to shed this advantage whenever he chose to, however once he made this choice he could not gain it again. Pleased with the success of his prayers, he felt he was no longer an apprentice and could now learn to compete with the experienced. He chose the name JOURNEYMAN for all that would follow in his footsteps. __________________________________________________ ______________ If you wish to gain this bonus, send an application to Immortal. You may not get a quest class/race if you have been a JOURNEYMAN before. This is intended to help those who NEED it, and to lessen the learning curve and give newer players a chance to compete and survive. It is valid both in combination with the MODERATE tier (help MODERATE) and the RUTHLESS tier. Veterans who struggle with pk are also allowed to apply. There are several reasons for this, but the most important reason is, those who have detect magic can simply look at you and KNOW you're a journeyman. We want this to be anonymous. No one needs to know you're a journeyman. Remember: those with the {J} in front of their names are still receiving the benefits of the Journeyman flag!
