Roleplaying is required

Preamble: Your presence here is a privilege, and not a right. Do as asked by the Immortals and you shouldn’t have any issues. This includes following these rules.

1. OOC Behavior

Do not go out of character in game. Do not write OOC notes. Do not curse or use common curse words - if you want to curse, be creative (you flea-ridden son of an elf-loving goblin!).

Do not transfer OOC knowledge between characters (caballed characters with hidden flags, etc.). Do not tell others whom you have played in the past, not even wrapped up in rp.

Do not harass other players.

Do not use useless characters to log on to check the who list, hold equipment or gold for other characters, or anything else that is indicative of them wasting our time, your time, etc. There will only be one warning, and then punishment enacted on any and all active characters, while the useless one is deleted.

Do not spoonfeed others privileged information. You may give hints however if your character has  a rp reason to have that knowledge.

2. Character Trading

Sharing, or selling a character is terrible roleplay. Letting someone play your character destroys the integrity of said character. His/her personality will have changed, the character’s history will be moot, and the small things that flesh out a character will be gone. Characters found doing this will be denied without question.

3. Death

Player killing is permitted and encouraged. Do not complain if you die. Do not throw lives away, death is to be avoided at all costs. Do not suicide against players or NPCs to avoid PK or to get rid of pieces of equipment. This is bad roleplay and will lead to permanent death of said character.

4. Bug Abuse

Do not, in any way shape or form, abuse or exploit bugs. This will result in immediate denial and punishment outside of your character. If something seems to be too good to be true, ask on prayer.

5. Dropping Link and Life Support

Dropping link to avoid consequences of any kind is considered bad roleplay, and will be punished accordingly.

Botting, life support and triggers to keep your character alive while ignoring everything else going on around you is not roleplaying, and will be punished.

6. Multi-characters (multicharring)

You may play more than one character, but you may not play more than one character at the same time.

Exception: if you and someone else play on the same IP, you must notify the Immortals. If you do not, and we suspect or catch you multicharring, we will consider that cheating and deny both characters. You must roleplay your association with players who play on the same IP; if you are seen exchanging equipment without roleplaying, killing without a justifiable cause, or permagrouping, it is the right of the Immortals to decide you are cheating and take appropriate action.

7. Giving away /selling rares

Don't give or sell anything to someone who could not get this item with a group of their peers (e.g. Faction or gear armor to a level 30). Do not accept such armor if it is offered to you.

These are simple, clear rules. If you violate any of them you will be punished accordingly and your characters will receive OOC reprimands. Punishments can, and may vary depending on previous rule violations and the situation. Be prepared for the absolute worst if you are caught breaking the rules above.
