based on truth or if it was made up to scare off the more cowardly sailors.

  To the west lies Miruvhor, one of the three major cities of Aabahran. 
From here you can see its piers along which many ships have docked. 
Stretching out in the other direction is water, more water, and even more
water.  A strong gust of wind is constantly blowing, creating treacherous
waves.  One will need a boat or some form of magical levitation to proceed
eastwards.

As you reach the end of the dock, you see the great expanse of the Dragon
Sea to the horizon, crystal blue waters stretching as far as the eye can

been in place for centuries, but even a brief time in the salty air has
already begun to stain them to match the neighboring planks.

  The wooden boards of the docks shift underfoot with a familiar creaking

that is altogether characteristic of the Miruvhor Wharf.

against the stone bank of the harbor creates a comforting ambience.

  This plaza is more subdued than the western side of the City Square,
crowds tempered by the barricades and construction to the east.  The cobbled
city streets have a thin layer of damp-looking muck on them, but that seems
to be standard fare for the poorly paved walkways throughout the city.

Central Commons
  You stand with the center of the dark city of Miruvhor.  Within the
square is a large fountain, spewing a geyser of fresh water.  Affixed to a
pole atop the polished marble, just above the reach of the water, is a
crimson banner.  The silken fabric is fresh and bright, newly stitched with
the insignia of the Jewel of the East.  The banner catches the wind coming
off the wharf, waving proudly overhead.

Western Plaza
  The plaza here is choked with crowds hurrying eastwards into the heart
of Miruvhor.  Wagons rattle by at high speed, headed towards the docks to
the east. The crimes and wrong-doings of the past have been eradicated, 
and Order has taken its place. The western edge of the plaza is lined with 
grand buildings of red brick. Once providing space for various warehouses,
casinos, taverns, and brothels, they have since been transformed into 
luxurious mansions for the rich nobles of Miruvhor.

Western Seium Way
  You are approaching the center of the city. To the north and south runs
a renewed cobbled street, with two parallel tracks along the center for
incoming and outgoing wagons. All around you rise great buildings of
red brick that house the rich citizens of Miruvhor. Eastward the road
passes through an archway between the buildings. On the other side
is an impressive open air plaza, filled with people.

  The cobbled road here is highly traveled and knots of people idle along
its length.  Several shifty eyed men seem to take particular interest in you
as you pass.  Crumbling red brick buildings line the street to either side,
their faces showing patches of pale green moss.  To the east you can see
a busy thoroughfare.

  You stand beneath the towering gate of the western wall of Miruvhor.
Twin stairs climb to either side of the gateway, allowing soldiers to mount

south comes the brash braying of mules and high whinnying of horses,
punctuated occasionally with the deep roar of some unknown beast.

however, is slightly different from the rest. Hanging over a large open double
door is a simple wagon wheel. From within comes the sounds of whickering

of travelers here are so few in number.

the yellow brick buildings rising up to either side. Their shutters
hang open, revealing small but decorated rooms from which
the quiet sounds of their inhabitants issue. This area is quite 
peaceful and rather comfortable.

  This square is a little less taken care of than the ones to your
north and west. Not to say that it is unbearably filthy and decrepit,
but it is simply not as impressive. While the upper and middle
classed citizens of Miruvhor reside to your west, the scenery

your east. The occasional beggar can be made out, but they
are for the most part completely ignored by the city's nobles and
the guards of the Crimson Fist. To the south can be seen a large
wooden portcullis, firmly closed against the wilderness beyond.

uncaring of your approach. East lies the seaward wall of the city and
you can catch the sounds of breakers rolling in.

to mount the ramparts above. A brisk breeze swirls around, carrying the
odour of the sea and everything else that comes along with it.

clearly displayed anywhere.  You can only imagine what sort of contraband
moves through here.  Whispers of shady dealings float through the air as men
in long coats move about, opening up their trenchcoats for brief moments to,
presumably, display their merchandise.

  The balmy sea breeze mingles with the pungent and familiar aroma of salty
air and fresh fish.  Seagulls crow and wheel overhead, and to the east the
worn planks of the Miruvhorian wharf extend out into the Dragon Sea.  In the
distance the sparkling blue waters glisten, and the sound of waves lapping
against the stone bank of the harbor creates a comforting ambience.  

In the center of the portside plaza, a circle of cobblestones is clear and
clean...  Perhaps something once stood there?

The Dragon Sea

based on truth or if it was made up to scare off the more cowardly sailors.

waves.  One will need a boat or some form of magical levitation to proceed
eastwards.

  The plaza here is choked with crowds hurrying eastwards into the heart
of Miruvhor.  Wagons rattle by at high speed, headed towards the docks to
the east. The crimes and wrong-doings of the past have been eradicated, 
and Order has taken its place. The western edge of the plaza is lined with 
grand buildings of red brick. Once providing space for various warehouses,
casinos, taverns, and brothels, they have since been transformed into 
luxurious mansions for the rich nobles of Miruvhor.

enter the building but do not emerge.
