Hey now, I'm not pretending I think it's right...just the sheathed weapon/shield/brandishable makes sense to me. Now that I think about it, classes really need sheaths equal to the number of weapons they can carry...no dual wield = 1 sheath, dual wield but no doublesheath = 2 sheaths, dual wield + doublesheath = four. At no point would the combination of sheathed and unsheathed weapons surpass 4, so you can have 2 sets of 1h weapons sheathed and not have to remove 2 of them to lawfully enter a city. It just doesn't make sense that our hands are occupied by the things we AREN'T holding in them.
Let's fix sheath doublesheath.
Mya and Celerity are right on the money for me... ![]()
If a hand is free...makes perfect since to be able to hold something in it...and I don't see how that would "op" anyone since everyone would be able to do it...and why not sheath four weapons? or like Celerity said, change the skill to quick draw
I can't even take this post seriously' date=' so I won't give a serious reply, other than lulz.[/quote'] Better take it seriously, I was outside today and realized you need both hands free to smoke a bowl, yet our current mechanic allows my warriors to smoke a bowl while firing a bow, hitting you four times, and smacking you twice for hitting me, the whole while holding my staff so tightly that you can not disarm it. And my friend thats not just illogical, its stupid. Lag free if I may add.
Oh you pwned me, I give up.
Next time I see my dad talking on the phone, smoking a cig and driving the car all the same time, I will tell him he cannot do that, cause it's not possible.
That is cause he drives with his knees.
Try to smoke a "bowl" with your knees.
you wan to fix doublesheath?
Then fix the redraw when disarmed.
currently if you have two one handed weapons wielded and one two handed weapon sheathed. If your primary one handed weapon is disarmed, doublesheath draws the two-handed. The two-handed is then sent to your inventory because you "must have two hands free" since you still have your offhand in the offhand spot. However! You also lose the offhand wepaon because it "cannot be wielded with that". Thus leaving you with NO weapons.
Either the switching of the off hand weapon to the primary hand should take place OR the one handed off hand should end up in your inventory or sheath as you draw your two handed weapon.
That too ^

Fixed this bug a while ago when you first reminded me about it. For various reasons there are a number of changes waiting to go in with Watcher changes. Watcher changes have been taking way longer than they should have due to various planning reasons.

I tell you what Z, you are the **** man. This has been one of those thorny type bugs for a long long time around here.
I am glad you're proactivly responding to the non-bias issues the long time players (and newcomers alike ) point out.
Keep it up man, and never take personally our (my!) sometimes redundant rants! ![]()
The sheating of two weapons and NOT being able to use a wand/stave seriously needs to be fixed. There is no reason why a melee should have to leave the middle of a fight when his sanc drops, find a remote area, put on demon talismen to remove his cursed weapons (or at least one of them) just to use a wand/stave. Meanwhile, chars can smoke a bowl in the middle of a fight without even sheathing.
This broken feature takes away from PK and makes it tedious and annoying.
Nobody stops you from smoking a herb instead of using a sanc stave / staff as well.
Spell level and duration is mostly lower on herbs than on staves, so the herbs are easier to dispel and have a shorter duration.
First of all, black leaves are extremely rare when there are a lot of people on.
Second, If it worked the way it should, I would already have to flee, sheath, hold items, zap/brandish, remove item, draw weapon...giving my enemy a chance to catch up to me or get away. That right there is more than enough trade-off when it comes to the difference between smoking herbs and using wands/staves.
I fail to see how changing this would upset any balance.
Use merchants ![]()
Merchants definitely have a LOT of herbs. I know on Rygsne I had (average) 60+ of every kind of herb I can think of.
Just because there's a way around it, doesn't mean it's not broken.
You have an alternative. The alternative is viable, as obviously a lot of other people do it.
You also have the option to sheath and brandish or remove dual and brandish (this can be done in combat too btw if you are fast enough). The higher level and longer duration of option two makes up for option two being more complicated.
The problem is when you have two cursed, one-handed weapons. You can't just "remove weapon" and go to town. You have to flee and put on demon talismen. But, whatever I can see this is going nowhere.
I agree with beer. It's just really annoying, and it's the reason that I would chose addict over any other perk to use herbs instead of wands and staves. Also seaweeds have the longest duration flight in the game I think? Comparable to dragonkin orb at the very least.

Uh... yeah. A weapon having a curse on it is not an entirely good thing... nor should it be. Part of the downside of using noremove weapons is that you need to go through more work to STOP using those weapons. If you're having too much trouble, don't use two noremove weapons.
Hell, the argument could be made that you shouldn't be able to sheathe a noremove weapon at all.
Well, there's a point where mechanics ruin the fun...and it's starting to get to that point for me.
