Thought your post is fine. The cabal sounds like it will give you decent buffs to keep you competitive, having the experience of a cabal, bit without the intense responsibility. Allowing you to grow out of the cabal at your own pace.
I like where everyone's thinking is at. But I don't know that Moderate or a "Moderate cabal" is the solution. I don't see people getting looted or multi-killed. I see people getting steamrolled in every PK - fights you learn little or nothing from.
Is there a way to morph this idea into a cabal farm team system? Instead of clans being a place to stick cabal wannabes until they prove themselves, make them a place where talent is actively developed. This should help with including the characters in higher level RP (in general and in plots) as well as world exploration and gear farming.
