Shaman Stuff

Is the hunger and thirst from a shaman's dysentery spell count as damage from the shaman? I mean, if the player's thirst or hunger kills them, is the shaman attributed to the kill or no? If not I think it should be. It makes complete sense. Something to think about.

I think it's more of a coding issue than a 'makes sense' issue, but I might be wrong.

Hunger thirst was a Mob death. Even if a shaman did it.

I complained.

Viri actualy changed it years ago.

Then i grumbled the next time i died and could not get my condition back via Resurection....

But this was long ago. Don't actually know now, as this the sort of thing you learn how to counter with experience.

On damage reduction from what i think you are referring to in first question.

I THINK that hunger/thirst is internal damage and so not subject to Protection/Santuary/AC damage reduction.

But it can be ignored, ie Void or psi skills effects.

Ex:

I hungry taking damage.

Psi spells me. Hunger damage stops.

Psi spell ends. Hunger damage back, and increased damage as if was hungry the whole time.

You are not credited with the kills from using Dysentary at all. I lost quite a few bounties as gogrash because of that.

hunger/thirst death from dysentary does NOT count as a kill for a shaman

shamans should be given the Know Alignment spell.

Hmmm....I really don't think hunger/thirst from dysentery should even be a problem....it's fairly easy to circumvent...what do you do when you have the diarrhea? The only thing you can't circumvent is having to drop your load.

actually what people do to supplement the hunger portion should in fact make it worse IMHO. but hey...

Diarrhea is characterized by frequent, watery bowel movements, often accompanied by stomach cramps, abdominal pain and gas. Diarrhea may be various colors and contain mucous, blood or pus. In general diarrhea is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, but may be a symptom of some underlying ailment such as: irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, bowel cancer, celiac disease, pancreatitis, hyperthyroidism, Crohn's disease, DYSENTERY, or ulcerative colitis, among others. It is important, therefore, to discover the cause of the diarrhea.

It is important to know what diarrhea does to the body besides the obvious effects. The salivary glands in the mouth, the mucous membrane in your stomach, and the liver and pancreas produce saliva which is used in the digestive process to break down food. When diarrhea strikes the saliva is lost and the digestive process is interrupted. In addition, diarrhea depletes the body of important minerals, called electrolytes, needed for good health. They are: potassium, magnesium, chloride, sodium and calcium. Without these minerals you may feel weak, tired and depressed, have an abnormal heart rhythm, and become dehydrated. For these reasons it is important to drink plenty of fluids when you have a bout of diarrhea, especially those that can replenish your electrolyte balance.

Diarrhea is one of Nature's defense systems used to help rid the body of toxins and poisons as quickly as possible.

My brother has a severe case of diarrhea of the mouth... what is his body trying to rid itself of in his case?
