So because they can train fast, they can't be mages?
Actually, the quicker they master spells, the less they will level off of them. Training a low-INT/WIS race means you have to cast more to master = more experience between proficencies. A half-elf would gain the least ranks from spell-training. And besides, who cares if a mage ranks from spell training?
I'm sure there is a valid reason, I just can't think of one nor have ever seen it. Maybe this should go into a separate thread.
And who trains santuary up ?
I normaly have it mastered pre 40 from maintaining up at all times.
I noramly saw half elves as a sort of quest race, not realy a race but more of a RP branch. Like minotaurs. If you recall, minos originaly could only be warriors.
Actually minotaurs could just be serkers. Warrior choice was added later on.
Ah back in the day when your beef had a temper and thats all it had
From a strictly RP standpoint, the way I inderstand it, the vast majority of dwarves are not charismatic enough to be paladins. Also, classic dwarf RP demands a lot of loyalty to clan and king, making things very difficult for a dwarf that decides to become a paladin. I think that's actually from the D&D source book.
And as far as opening up DKs, I don't think that fire giants or duergars use magic. Fire giants are too dumb to learn magic, and duergars are just too cool for it.
erm, can't half-elves be psi's?
Dwarves should be able to be Crusaders.
Dear GOD NO! I'd rather not have invincible drunks running around thanks.
