There's a lot of variables here. The biggest is that it's not like the skill air thrash, it's a maledictive spell and if they have a lot of mal saves, it's going to be difficult to land. Mastering the skill (if you haven't already) will help in this department, too.

Webbing is an EXTREMELY powerful spell, and sure, it can be expensive to master. But I can assure you that mastering it is well worth the effort and cost, more so than most other spells for #reasons. Plus it is literally air thrash and ghoul touch in a single round of lag - how much stronger could you possibly want it to be?

I would like it to land, i casted it about 17 times yesterday across several hours of pvp and it landed 0 times. It doesn't really matter that the lottery is 27 billion if you never win. There's a reason they call gambling an idiot's tax. If the skill need to be weaker to be more reliable, then that's probably preferred, because you can't make any reliable decisions around gambling.

Have you mastered it? I realize this doesn’t matter for most spells beyond “lost concentration”, but I cannot emphasize enough that it MATTERS FOR THIS SPELL.
