That, right there, answers everything. Like, literally every question I had here.
The faerie fire and faerie fog spells won't work on faeries and kaddar, but the glowing nature of the acid effect will. As such given by acid blast as exampled here, and things like vorpal weapons, they are not immune to.

Therefore, this is working as intended. Technically.
