Just because an idea was vetoed doesn't mean it won't be put into game at some point. It just means it won't be put into game as a part of this one experiment. There is a very good chance that some of the suggestions generated will still make it into game, just like any forum suggestions might.
Paladin Specific Changes
I'm going to guess that the veto thing was intentional in design. You guys see the experiment as a force of change. Of strict data. What gets what numbers. Me, I see it differently. You all put aside your differences (mostly) and worked together to enrich the game. The veto thing ensures that nothing wild and crazy gets put in that would sway the balance too far in any direction. Serves a purpose. Achieved that purpose. Without it, there was some serious potential for some short-sighted changes that have become hot-topic debates lately.

Some people are just impossible to get along with despite the rewards on offer :mda:
Actually, one veto = no consensus.
We arrived at consent on everything that did not get vetoed.
Some may say in the future we should need two vetoes to kill a suggestion, however, we would not have consensus. We would alienate someone, and Aabahran needs ALL of us.

I saw it similarly, though I figured the veto thing was more about making sure it was truly 100% inclusive and didn't turn anybody off.
As for consensus, well, that's a question of definition - some would say a simple majority is consensus, others 100% approval, others something between the two. I liked that, at least for the first time this was done, 100% approval was required. It may be decided in the future that it isn't necessary to implement changes, but for now, it meant that everyone felt like their voice mattered to the discussion, that no one was getting ignored, that personality conflicts weren't driving discussion (at least, not as much ;)). Honestly, I'm proud we pulled it off, and I'm proud of how we pulled it off.
