Minotaur Charge

Still on this topic lol? I'd rather be discussing ways to beef up zerks and ninjas so we can get more players back. Who would play minos after a change to there defining skill? Like Dale said there are still stronger chars out there like Zaruuk and Sepahoona and minos are **supposed **to be there bane. I don't know about you guys but I prefer a more exciting fl and I want more players here! There's a reason why wow is so successful. Updates and patches' date=' new quests, skills, classes etc. Give it a rest already and lets actually argue in the opposite direction for once.[/quote']

Agreed. If we continually "gimp" everything so it comes down to "player skill" and typing speeds, the people who have been here the longest have all the advantages.

Let's keep other variables in place.

EDIT: I keep thinking on how people are calling for getting rid of the "one hit kills". Assassinate rules! So does power word kill.

The mindflayer was changed because of Crusaders using them as holy weapons. Had nothing to do with any of the characters you mentioned or the claimed OP combos.

Oh, then it's my bad. I had heard otherwise on the prayer forum. :/

Trolls enter, I exit stage left.

Play better lol, die harder lol, l2p lol. I'm over it.

Imms have their proof from players about what some of us think about the skill. They will change it or not, like all other changes that have taken time and consideration. We have a good staff, so I'm done here. ^-^

Everyone keeps saying he's using triggers. He's not, and I know that for a fact considering I watched him pk people over thanksgiving, from the same room. It doesn't take much typing speed to move faster than someone.

Besides, sounds more like people are complaining about Slinore, not minotaur charge. If you hate him that much, it's likely for 2 reasons:

A) He kicked the snot out of you.

or

You thought you may have had him, and then he kicked the snot out of you.

Which makes the reason for you disliking Slinore, that you are not as good as him. There is ALWAYS someone better, remember that. And if you are one of the people that has lost to him, there is 0 argument you can generate. If a football team can win a game by running the ball, that's what they do...

I think this thread has run its course.

No one is above calling certain skills 'unfair' or 'no skill' or 'rubbish' when they're on the receiving end of them. People are just frustrated with charge right now.

lol, hilarious. it's pretty much verbatim.

Wow.

yea thats why (no offense to you guys) I like not knowing ya'll outside of the game/forums. OOC communication killed this game for me once before, its just too hard not to want to jump to someone you consider a friends defense, its just human nature, and hearsay is the worst evidence of all.

There are quite a few ways to get around the charge lock, though it can be kinda nasty in many situations. My beef is that the skill seemingly never misses. I fight slinore a LOT, and often times my ac is close to -400 or at worst -300. He has never missed one, ever. If charge had a better chance to miss I think this whole matter would become a non-issue. But seriously, he must be like 200/200 or better vs me, you know, batting a thousand at charge. No skill should be that reliable. If you need -700 ac to make it miss, that's a little nuts...

I have had it miss a few times around 4-450 ac.

I agree 400 ac seems to be where it becomes a noticable difference and with that much ac, about the only caps damage i've seen is the charge itself, I haven't fought Slinore that much, maybe 5 times, but I think he's missed once or twice

I would like to point out that I never fight slinore lol. This is all from past minos. Lamah, Randard etc etc.

Unless he is charging you, fleeing and then coming back and charging you again I don't see the issue. Even if he can set a trigger and catch you when you flee repeatedly, you can blind him or find other ways around it.

I think I was on hiatus when those were around, but I had a mino warrior that was in warmaster. Suunmar was about the only one I missed charges on, I dunno if ya'll remember how he dressed, I really don't.

Then again, getting decked is usually the answer to most matchups where player skill is about even, eq usually decides the outcome

Unless he is charging you' date=' fleeing and then coming back and charging you again I don't see the issue.[/b'] Even if he can set a trigger and catch you when you flee repeatedly, you can blind him or find other ways around it.

** This is exactly what happens, fyi. I'm not making any other points, just clarifying that issue.**

There is no way that is possible.

Unless he is charging you' date=' fleeing and then coming back and charging you again I don't see the issue. Even if he can set a trigger and catch you when you flee repeatedly, you can blind him or find other ways around it.[/quote']

So... unless a skill is either a) solely responsible for your death or incapable of being overcome... there isn't any room for there to still be some problem with it?

I am saving a link to this thread for the next time you call something overpowered, Dale.

For what it's worth, I agree that Mino charge is too much. I also completely agree with Pali's assessment of Warrior vs. Zerk regarding Minotaur charge.

But if zerks ever get a beefing it should get the same toning.

And to remind you all, I don't play here anymore.
