Can we open this up to public posting?
Anyone can post their own RP logs but has to be approved by Immortal.
Maybe even the same thing with the PK logs section.

The PK and RP log sections are closed primarily due to editing issues. In the prayer forum we can post to you directly regarding what needs to be edited, whereas if we open it to approval like the shout-outs sections our replies would be seen - thus we'd either have to delete the post with an explanation or send you a PM detailing the issue, both being a pain in the proverbial patootie.
I guess the way I envisioned it was:
People edit their logs to the best of their ability, IMMs review it, perhaps make a correction or two here and there.
If the log is too poorly editted, it does not get approved, end of story. Player can re-submit with better editting, or ask on prayer what sucked.
So really, it's the same amount of work, if not less for the IMMs....and the pbase gets to see more of the Logs they want.
A win, win. There will be issues with this system, sure. Just like there are issues with every system. But seems like the pbase gets what they want and the IMMs get a little bit of an easier job with the logs sections.
Just as long as people understand their logs are not getting posted unless they are editted correctly. Any questions regarding editting can be directed to the prayer forum...or they should read the editting rules themselves.
I like that... make it like the shout out forum, only shows after an IMM's looked over it. If anything, it just takes away a step of work from the IMM reviewing it.
P.S. I also think it'd encourage the posting of longer PKs... I've had posts that I tossed on prayer that were about 5 pages after editing as much extraneous stuff as I could out, but they were five pages of close combat and working various strategies and I considered them enjoyable reads, and I've been sent similarly long PK logs from other players that I've also never seen in the PK forum.
I like it. I always love to read RP and PK logs at work, cause I can't play there, heh.
Ehm, I don't see any difference. Whether an IMM will have to c/p it or have to approve it, it is the same thing really. Reading it is what takes 99% of time. The rest can be done in 10 seconds.
I don't see a problem with the current set up. There's a post in the forums that tells you what needs to be done, and it's a simple matter to follow the log in the prayer forum with a request to have it moved to the Logs sections.
I believe you will see a lot more logs being posted with this change, which is why I suggested it.

And I believe we won't, because nothing will actually change.
Can you explain why exactly there would be more logs?
Whether an immortal has to read and approve or read and copy/paste... what is the difference?
It is a simpler process where I think you will see a lot more PK/RP logs come through since the Immortals don't have to pick and choose through the prayer forum and copy/paste on top of all the other BS they have to deal with in the prayer forum.
I think we'd see less RP/PK logs this way. I'd think it invaluable to be able to tell a player what exactly needs to be changed before a log can be posted. I'm not sure what the Imms have to deal with in the Prayer forum, but I know I've never had a problem with the Imms getting back to me or posting/reviewing my logs.
I know a couple people who've posted logs and they haven't made their way into the Logs section of the forum.
Now, I can't speak for their logs, but I do know I've posted well editted logs of high-profile characters that were not just someone being roflstomped.
I think the log(s) that are not making it into the public forums that ARE well editted would be if this quick change was at least tried out...and if it was lame, it could easily be reverted back.
Thoughts?
Bump them till you get a reply. Most probably nobody had time to look it through and / or post it yet. We usually comment if we will not post it for a reason, explaining why.
