Am I the only one who as a c/c uses consumables? I find it great in when a zerk drops that haymaker and only drops sanc to smoke a herb and have it back without leaving combat. Sure it's not level 50 but it's not me fleeing to go rebuff. On my paladins I used to use them all the time to preserve mana for combat.
Invokers are quite dependable on consumables, perhaps more than melees too.
I'm not that fussed about the black herbs really - Everybody needs sanctuary. I would say it is the things that are a bit more class defining, hence why i don't like the nymph hearts. I don't think classes like warriors, bladesmasters, rangers etc should have access to cure crit, there are classes that depends completely on attrition, and they are balanced by the fact that they don't have the damage output of the more melee focused classes. If a warrior can spend 30 mins collecting nymph hearts and be able to cure crit 25 + times, should a cleric have a consumable that they can collect to be able to dirt kick?
I don't have a problem with consumables for necessary buffs - but i think giving healing to classes that don't need healing to win means you end up with fights being just about who can collect enough healing consumables and wait the other person out.
Unless you are a Qsomething, I doubt your Skills will ever be checking saves for their landing %.
You are right, everyone needs sanctuary. Why didn't they make more vials instead of creating those cursed herbs I do not know. Better vials and a stack-able vial drop like black leaves would have been better.
Now days every 9 in 10 PC smokes...
You are right in Curatives. For me there should never ever exist healing items of any form or sort. Much less auto casting Eq.
In fact herbs are a totally perversion of the Magical atmosphere. Instead of having adventurers collecting items of magical power like potions and Scrolls, we have a bunch of addicted pot heads who are so addicted that they even smoke in middle of combat.
Hey, if they are not checking saves, they are not being saved.
Explain what are you are thinking about.
And you would face a horde of Human/Avian Battlemages.
And you would face a horde of Human/Avian Battlemages.
And? Only one battlemage ever beat me on a blademaster.
Blademasters lose to nothing
Blademasters can be tough to win with, but also tough to fight.
I see them as a mix of ninja and warrior.
Badass like ninjas, but ****ing tanks like warriors.
Foxx, shut up you epic blademaster rolling ****er.
God all this whining about consumables is annoying.
When is the last time you played a melee who heavily stocked consumables? Ill tell you I can spend an hour "running laps" gathering the consumables I use as staple, and I might have enough for one-two fights of good PvP action.
A mage takes what, 3 minutes at most to fully buff (the long time is tied to one particular cabal). If you run out of mana, you go sleep 2 tics. I run out of leaves, Im dead.
I challenge you Mya, to play an actual melee. Not a single spell at it's disposal, and show us the unbalance these herbs give
But... but... you can smoke it in combat!!!
The world would end if Mya actually plays a melee one day.
Smoking in combat I do still have a small gripe with... I think it should be held to similar rules as using a potion in combat, namely that you require a free hand to hold it in and a chance to fail.
You know, I do Play meeles. I just suck at them cause playing a meele is uninteresting. It's standing there waiting for your auto attacks to kill people. Occasional dirt or bash.
Unless it's a thief. Thieves are nice. As you don't actually have to Meele. And you can steal stuff like backpacks.
I like things I can control. Mages have option that alow you to control. To affect things. Not just stand there grinding HP.
Maybe I should roll a Crussader and show you. Or just make a mage and have fun. Or a thief and go around stealing every glimmering I see. Hoo wait. Did that. Boring.
