I know for a fact @'tarako is a vet. The whole point is that nothing in this game is cookie cutter. Thats what makes it different. If you do the things I said in my first post you will be Trusted!
Hmmmm... Sounds fishy to me. I wouldn't buy his book if I were you guys.
Everyone outline what they think each cabal should 'require' to meet the standard?
You should do awesome Rp that corresponds with your Cabal. Should you choose to circumvent the Cabal Rp cause you want to do something different, then the road should be difficult. You should never quit the lands no matter what, unless you've run out of time. If your standard is taken you should try to get it back until death do you part. Your RP should be that of someone trying to gain ELDER standard at all time. You should be able to Kill your enemy at least 50% of the time or have it close.
I know a situation where you did some shady stuff, and no one wants to be called out on their stuff. I respected your characters, but when you came on I had to be very careful of some things you'd be likely to do.
If you are talking about at the pit, I knew you recalled as a method of transportation, and I tried to flee after the first ray, but you where dead before the lag wore off. Didn't mean to, but on the same note Puerilaug engaged me in several tags, but those are completely legal, and I never even thought about it as shady. Gilthok was an absolute shit storm for any necro to fight, and I believe the power level of a dwarf purity cleric warrants tagging.

Promo requirements for T should not depend on PK record. That favors classes with a far higher power spike like Necros, Ninjas, Invokers, Rangers etc. We have had elders with well below a .5 K/D ratio. Maybe for E or L, but even then some cabals just arent pk cabals. A pk record requirement shouldnt be imposed on sigils/pandys/council for example. That is not their subcabals focus, nor should it be.
I think requirements should be at Imm discretion, since their desires are gonna be different across varying faiths. I also dont really expect imms to be like BANG, and it's done. I am sure it will take some time. Just moving in the direction is awesome
I disagree. These are Powerful Trusted abilities. Should you just be allowed trusted for chasing down your foe in Syndicate, or never getting one head? Should you be trusted in Savant as a Mysterum if you just do no pkiling at all.
Maybe we should do what everyone asks and make it so easy to play the game that after 10 hours you get some of the best abilities in the game, with as little RP and PK as possible because that's exactly what people really want!
I would like to keep things as is. I want to impress my Immortal/Leader/Elder. I want to prove that I deserve trusted. I don't want to sit at pits to kill people. I want to write scrolls and submit Rp logs and Journals. I want to send notes to my Cabal, those trusted and above. I want them to give me tasks and prove I belong, and when I join a Cabal that has no one I want to impress my immortal by kicking the shit out of the stronger Cabal with a Class that everyone says is Obsolete!
Well like pandy is about control, and manipulation. Maybe engaging actively in controlling peiple wgo think they are your friends, selling them out etc. Sigil is about identifying evil and its machinations. So identifying people with hidden standards, or finding the motives behind evil chars. Obviously the existing rp requirements might need a bump, they are super low. Mayne reavers need to kill, or engage in slaving domination etc. Savants used to require mastery of spells, maybe rp noyes detailing the best ways to train, or rp journals about fantasy applications of those skills. Like how Dorvan uses his pets to communicate.

@'tarako Has a point. If all cabal Elders except Herald required PKs, you'd never see Healers as Elders if there are not undead around. You'd rarely see paladins as well. Some classes excel at killing while others excel at surviving. Neither should be punished by denial of an Elder spot.
I personally think Promotions should be about bringing something to the cabal. If you have a simple idea like I want to kill everyone and you join Nexus and RP and PK it well, you should get to T. But, Elder is different. Elders should be those that represent their cabals. Even if it is odd, or strange RP like a druid Watcher who wants to form a truce with the Tribunal, your RP and PK both should be stellar. I don't care how many people you killed, it is what fights you took on. An Elder should be one the other members can look up to and actually follow their example.
This is why I liked Araethil so much. A Pande necromancer to the extreme, constantly conniving and yet if he had to he would PK and didn't shy from a fight. A stellar example of a unique RP and one deserving of Elder in Nexus.

I tried super hard to emulate this type of RP as a pandy. Sadly I had to fight Dranthos, and Keshan, often so I died. Even playing the OP lotus scourge I never relied on fighting as my primary action unless that is all I had. I relied on trickery, manipulation, control, and subterfuge to try to be a pandy. It is an incredibly fun style of play. Espescially when there is a global plot going on. I got involved with it by manipulating Marcella with information she needed that she just happened to mention in passing that I just happened to discover by accident. I further went on to play both sides of the fight by dropping partial info to Keshan, and Deakon. It was incredibly rewarding.
Jesus H C. You guys cannot stay on topic for a second.
This is all a bit vague chief. We need something measurable right? Thats the whole point of this.
Let me help you out:
Stalker - for T:
You must have fought every unnatural being at least - no logging because they are 'strong'. (This is your entire purpose, everything else is noise. IF you cant hack killing undead necro's this isn't for you then)
You must have vanquished at least one abomination.
You must have successfully defended or attempted within reason (avoiding death) the cabal and its interests.
You must start playing an active role in politics in regards to abominations in the lands.
Must had led a raid.
Must have started thoughts about recruitment and retention.
see. Those are solid, attainable, and realistic. They are goals that anyone can strive towards, anyone can achieve, and perfectly in line with stalker.

Duh. Im the best imm with the best cabal. Join me.
Also - lets put out heads together and come up with a plan? It'll be the start of the conversation with other imms.

I suffer from a rare disease called "fuck this RP log is incredibly long and difficult to edit" syndrome. Where I rp for an hour with someone, then realize my RP log is 5000 lines long, and I spam aff who where 9 million times and have to edit my pk OCD out of my rp logs. Which I don't do.
