LYTHOLM
General
LYTHOLM From a large family in the Dragon Teeth mountains Lytholm was the exception out of the five children. While his four brothers were content to hunt and live in the mountains Lytholm felt a wanderlust experience by few of his kind. Travelling to Rheydin after coming of age he quickly was admitted into the guild of the Warriors. Being a giant he excelled here due to his size and strength. Displaying a common sense battle savy he quickly rose through the guild. He was known for his drive towards perfection in both his body and technique. As he became more powerful he was recruited into the ranks of the Warmasters. Here through hard work and perseverance he excelled through the ranks. While his skills with a blade quickly became unmatched he became to nurse a deep resentment of those who would use any tricks to call down destruction upon fellow warriors. From this resentment rose the fury that he felt towards the Tower of Savant. In Lytholms mind the tower is a bastion of everything that is wrong with the world: corrupt priests and twisted magi all seeking to take a shortcut through some spoken words or misguided prayers. While Lytholm always strove for perfection in his training and physical statue above all else, the extermination of Savants near and far often became a personal test of his skills. As the years progressed Lytholm continued to hunt down Savants attempting to beat back the tide of corruption. However, as while perfection seemed ever closer he was slowly losing the war against the Tower that he hated so much. Fellow Warmasters retired to far off lands to raise families or, worse, were killed by Savants. With the peddling of corruption, riches, women and other pleasures the Savants began to find more recruits. At the same time those interested in perfection became fewer. As the Savants began to outnumber the Warmasters, Lytholm recognized that fighting the Savants would not be enough to save the Warmasters. Seeking to become more than what he had become Lytholm traveled to the Cloud City seeking the presence of the Immortals. Seeking to become Immortal so that he could continue to build the ranks of Warmaster long after a mortal would have perished, Lytholm cried out to the Heavens to grant him a chance to fulfill his wish At this time three Savants came seeking to end the last of the resistance from the Warmasters by slaying Lytholm. Outnumbered and enraged by his apparent failure Lytholm fell on the Savants with a fury that he had never experienced before. Through perfection of technique and rage at the failing numbers of the Warmaster, Lytholm reached a state few warriors even find. As he moved through his battle with the savants time seemed to stand still. The sky darkened and lightning fell striking at the Cloud City. Engaged in combat Lytholm never saw the bolt of lightning that fell encasing the four combatants. As the Savants reeled from the shock Lytholm pressed his advantage One after the other the Savants fell before the fire giant. As the last Savant fell one last bolt of lightning fell from the heavens striking Lytholm and searing his flesh. Contained in this bolt was the Spirit of Combat and through the heat and pain Lytholm felt it bind within himself granting him Immortality. Travelling back to the Halls of Warmaster a changed giant, Lytholm now leads their ranks. It is said he is always on the lookout for fresh recruits ready to take up the challenge of finding perfection and the battle against the corruption of Savant SEE ALSO: HELP WARMASTER
