Perks

Below is a list of perks which you can choose at character creation. You can also submit an application to have a perk changed if you made an error during selection. It is unlikely established characters will have this approved.

As ordered in character creation:

ADDICT * No negative effects from drug use.
ADVENTURER * Your lore skill is 100% accurate and functions similar to the spell identify.
* You lose 50% fewer experience points loss on death.
* You gain 15% more experience points when killing mobs.
* Lore maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Identify maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
ALCOHOLIC * No negative skill, spell or song proficiencies when drunk.
* Raises the maximum proficiency of water to wine to 101%.
* When using the vomit command, you are treated as 5 levels higher to dispel poison.
* Liquids quench your thirst more.
* Drunken stance maximum proficiency raised to 103%.
ARISTOCRATIC * Chance to call beast +5%.
* Mobs will not be aggressive to to you if they are more than three levels lower than you instead of five.
* Haggle maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Leadership maximum proficiency raised to 105%.

* Charm person maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Beast call maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Guard captain maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Inquisitor maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Bodyguard maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Serpent maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
ARTIFICER * Crafted daggers and shruikens gain one additional die of damage upon creation.
E.G.: If you were to create a stack of throwing daggers with 14d6 damage (14 6-sided dice),
the dagger's damage from the artificer perk would be 15d6.

* Damage taken from mana flares is halved.
* Create projectiles in bundles of 110.
* Bundles increase to 150 when fletchery proficiency is 106% or higher.
* Easier to level malformed and crusader weapons.
* Gain +1 weapon experience per kill.
* Fletchery maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Bowyer maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Edgecraft maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Instrumentalist maximum proficiency raised to 101%.

* Enhance armor maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Enchant armor maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Enchant weapon maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Bless arms maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Mana charge maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
ATHLETIC * Gain an additional +1 to hitroll if your level is 1 to 19.
* Gain an additional +2 to hitroll if your level is 20 to 39.
* Gain an additional +3 to hitroll if your level is 40 or higher.
Only the highest modifier applies.

* Gain an additional +1 to damroll if your level is 10 to 29.
* Gain an additional +2 to damroll if your level is 30 to 49.
* Gain an additional +3 to damroll if your level is 50 or higher.
Only the highest modifier applies.

* Gain an additional +1 to moves per level.
* Restores 5% more move points per tick after all other modifiers are calculated.
EAGLE-EYE * You gain an additional +2 to your hitroll.
* You have a 10% chance to sense motion on walk-in messages.
* Scan distance increases by 2 rooms.
* Scout distance increases by 3 to 5 rooms.
* Maximum range when using fired weapons increases by 1 room.
* Can always see traps 10 or more levels lower than you.
EDUCATED * Gain +2 bonus to learning skills, spells and songs.
Does not stack with half-elf and half-drow bonuses.

* You have a 10% better chance to learn anatomies against other player characters.
* Staves maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
* Wands maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
* Scrolls maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
HEALTHY * Lose 1 constitution point every 6 deaths instead of every 5 deaths.
* Restores +16 hit points per tick.
As this is calculated after skill and edge modifiers but before all others, it may not be a full +16 hp.

* Fast healing maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
* Regeneration maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
HEROIC * Gain the ability to use the mercy command if your class is not normally able to use this command.
Does not apply to dark-knights and crusaders.

* Allows you to save against fear as if it were 10 levels lower.
This is equivalent to an additional -30 to Save vs Fear or a 75% increase to the base save.

* Allows you to save against hysteria as if it were 10 levels lower instead of the normal 3 levels lower than caster level.
This is equivalent to an additional -21 to Save vs Hysteria or a 52.5% increase to the base save.

* Charge maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Heroism maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Charge maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
LUCKY * Gain an additional -10 to all AC values.
* Immunity to hex.
* Gives a bonus to the chance your luck fluctuation will raise your luck.
This will effectively raise the average by 5.
MAGICAL * You gain an additional -1 bonus to your Saves vs Spell.
* You gain an additional +2 mana per level.
* Restores 5% more mana points per tick after all other modifiers are calculated.
* Automatically learns meditation, trance and mana shield at 100%.
* Raises the maximum proficiency of meditation, trance and mana shield to 102%.
* Meditation maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
* Trance maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
* Mana shield maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
MISER * You do not pay any fees when depositing gold into your bank account.
* You do not pay any fees for owning a locker.
* Items from shops cost 25% less.
* Pawn maximum proficiency raised to 102%.
* Haggle maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Panhandle maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
NIMBLE * You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a bash.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a bodyslam.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a trip.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a thrust.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a blackjack.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a strangle.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a throw.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of a tackle.
* You gain an additional +5% chance to dodge out of the way of an armored rush.
* You can carry approximately 17% more items than others of your race.
* Balance maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
NONE * You forfeit the option to acquire a perk during character creation.
OVERWEIGHT * You deal 25% more bash damage.
* You deal 25% more bodyslam damage.
* You deal 25% more trip damage.
* You deal 25% more thrust damage.
* You deal 25% more tear damage.
* You deal 25% more grapple damage.
* You deal 25% more armored rush damage.
* You can carry 20% more weight (before edges).
* Defecate timer is halved to 12 ticks instead of 24.
* Vomit timer is halved to 12 ticks instead of 24.
PIOUS * Chance to be affected by corruption reduced by 50%.
* Chance to be affected by blasphemy reduced by 50%.
* Lag caused by word of recall reduced by 16%.
* Lag caused by portal reduced by 20%.
* Gain 50% more gold when sacrificing objects.
SHORT * Chance to hide increased by 3.
* Chance to camouflage increased by 3.
* Reduces lag caused by trample and trip by one-quarter (1/4) round.
* Dodge maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Hide maximum proficiency raised to 103%.
* Camouflage maximum proficiency raised to 103%.
* Sneak maximum proficiency raised to 103%.
* Quiet movement maximum proficiency raised to 103%.
STOUT * Half damage from bash.
* Half damage from bodyslam.
* Half damage from trip.
* Half damage from charge.
* Half damage from thrust.
* Half damage from tear.
* Half damage from armored rush.
* Chance to fall asleep from being cleaved reduced by approximately 40%.
* Gain an additional +1 to hp per level.
TALL * Gain an additional +1 to hitroll.
* Gain an additional +1 to damroll.
* Gain an additional +2 moves per level.
* Parry maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* First parry maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Kick maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Double kick maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
TINKERER * Reduces the cooldown duration of flesh golem by 6 hours.
* Reduces the cooldown duration of stone golem by 6 hours.
* Reduces the cooldown duration of animate minion by up to 6 hours
Depending on the time of day the spell is cast

* Cuts the decoy cooldown timer in half.
* Sharpen maximum proficiency raised to 105%.
* Defuse maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Decoy maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Flesh golem maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Stone golem maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
* Animate minion maximum proficiency raised to 101%.
UNDERWEIGHT * Restores 5% more hit points per tick after all other modifiers are calculated.
* Restores 5% more mana points per tick after all other modifiers are calculated.
* Restores 5% more move points per tick after all other modifiers are calculated.

* If you are hungry (hunger < 5), your hitgain will be two-thirds (2/3) normal instead of half.
* If you are hungry (hunger < 5), your managain will be two-thirds (2/3) normal instead of half.

* If you are thirsty (thirst < 5), your hitgain will be two-thirds (2/3) normal instead of half.
* If you are thirsty (thirst < 5), your managain will be two-thirds (2/3) normal instead of half.

* 50% chance to not lose hunger and thirst each tick.
This can prevent you from taking damage from hunger, thirst, or both, that tick.

NOTE: Skill and spell maximums are adjusted for those classes that get them and will not be granted to you unless otherwise specified.
