SAFFRA

General
Not the typical dwarven smith or warrior this dwarf stands out for her
love of dwarven song. Annoyed at the statement that dwarven ballads
and poetry would usually take several days till they actually came to
a point, she decided early in her second century to take it upon herself
to educate non-dwarves in these matters. She travelled the lands far
and wide, banging on her favourite instrument, an enormous wardrum,
letting non-dwarves "enjoy" some of the oldest dwarven ballads, which
usually take several days to a couple weeks to present to an audience.

When one of the gods finally showed up to inquire what all this banging
and what he called "awful noise" was about, Saffra was outraged at this
comment and composed a dwarven drinking song about this deity in which
she mocked some exploits of this god, ridiculing him. Unfortunately this
song got rather famous very fast.

Angered at this disrespect from a mere mortal the god decided to punish
Saffra in a way that would make her suffer for centuries. Knowing of her
love for travelling and unwillingness to stay longer than a couple ballads
in one place but also considering her love for rythm and structure, as all
dwarven music abhorrs chaos and seeks perfect order, he chose a fate
for her that would be both punishment and suited to her love of order.
He restricted her to stay mainly in the tree big cities of Aabahran and
sentenced her to do a job nobody really wanted to do:
Whip these cities guards and officers back into shape, do something about
the sad state of the sewers and the Eridani River and stop corruption and
bribery in the cities administration. While Saffra instinctively was fond of the
citys laws as they brought an order akin to that of her beloved music she
despised the administrative work and paperwork from the start, setting to
this unavoidable task with the typical dwarven grumbling stubbornness.
