ATEBOS

Deep in the Heavens rests the Master of Fates.  Those who have been in
his presence are known to return as either enlightened creatures or to
become transfixed by their insignificance.  The legends surrounding this
particular immortal speculate that he might assume the form of a centaur who
trails ribbons of fire behind his wake.  There has been evidence of this
from the hoof-prints left in burnt ground where the god was rumored to be
sighted.  It is said that he is the keeper of the balance and has the power
to change entire events of the past, present, and future.  Some stories have
claimed that he knows what the future of the world will be, but none are
stupid enough to ask.  Woe betide those who attempt to alter the course of
such events on their own for the guardian of destiny will not be merciful. 
Only the librarians and academicians of Aabahran are in his favor by
receiving his advice and guidance.
