VAL MIRAN

Known as the Bastion of the West, Val Miran stands vigil before the great
western forests.  The old capital of the Crown, Val Miran has seen an
disproportionate amount of war and revolution during its colorful history. 
As a result, it has produced a great many heroes.  It has likewise been
sieged and razed a number of times throughout the ages.  The hearty people
of Val Miran have always been racially varied, but since time immemorial,
they have traditionally unified and served as the gatekeepers against the
ever-encroaching chaos.  The city prides itself on its upstanding moral
philosophy, the bounty of its lands, and its strict adherence to the rule of
law.
