ELROZIN

General
Always has the Academy in Rheydin beckoned to those in the pursuit of
knowledge, promising the instruction and wisdom of the Heralds; the Library
of which knew no rival. However, after the Savant Leader, Sepahoona,
brought about the destruction of Rheydin, some important texts that were
within the Academy were destroyed. These texts were irreplacable and no
Heralds had made copies of them to put within the Library of their hallowed
halls.

Distraught, a young elven adventurer named Elrozin set out on a personal
quest to find the greatest book ever written: The Tome of Enlightenment.
The legends held that the Tome of Enlightment contained every written word
that had ever been been recorded since the creation of Aabahran. If the
Academy and the Heralds were ever to see their full balance of power and
prestige returned, it would have to be through the finding of this tome.
Elrozin swore solemn vows for six days and seven nights to prove his
dedication to finding this tome and delivering the Academy back to its
rightful place.

Fourty years would pass before Elrozin was ever heard from again. His quest
sent him into pyramids, through the forsaken deserts, under water to cities
of sea elves, traversing every inch of the Dragon's Teeth Mountains,
sneaking through the cities of the Underdark, battling on ghost ships, and
even to the Pillar of Souls.

It was here, at the Pillar of Souls, that the dark gods took notice of
Elrozin. As he slept, a shadow dropped a tome next to his still form.
Awakening, Elrozin thought his prayers were answered, for the book glowed
with a golden light! As Elrozin opened the pages, he began to quickly flip
through the pages, but his fingers no longer moved of their own accord.
Faster and faster the pages turned, Elrozin's mind flaring with great pain.
First he knew a truth, opposite his own. Then the truth that stood opposite
the first, but to the left of the second and the third was adjacent the
fourth, but on top of the fifth that was innately within the sixth!

The Tome of Mirrored Truths granted Elrozin the written knowledge he had
sought in the Tome of Enlightenment. It had granted him immortality. But
it had also taken some of his soul with it as it burned to ashes in his
hands and blew away on the wind.
