With their weaknesses partially corrected by the addition of
their hardened shields, the arcane masters of the Dark-Knight
guild sought to allay their other failure, that of weakness
to stunning attacks brought against them. Unable to mimic
the arts of protective shields, they instead desired pain
upon their adversaries, calling up dark magics against those
who would assail them.
 
But, with one gain came another setback, for only mastered
spells could be called upon in times of duress.
 
Seeing the art, and recognizing their own weakness, the
learned Knights of the Paladins quickly adapted such arts
to their own prayers.
