< Students Introductory Guide >

The first things most students feel is anger, they are mad because they do not instantly grab hold of the lands ins and outs and decide life here is worthless. You are far from correct I must say. Gods and mortals alike, we were all once in your position. We walked around, half naked and completely lost but do not fret young ones, help is here. This guide will help you through your early life. Keep it, cherish it, let no one take it from you.

First things first, every town has an expansive library to help you through your travels. A copy of every file is at your fingertips simply by asking for help. Several of these files should be read before you start your journey. Their names are "help tour" "help newbie" "help pk" "help ooc". Once they are read, you are ready to set out. There are several areas where you can go to increase your rankings within your guild. It is wise to hunt in a party of three, or more depending on how much help you might need. To see a list of people to hunt with, ask the towns registry "who group" to find group mates. A wise thing to do for a good start is completing the quests given by the guild guardians in Rheydin after you have exited the Arena. This will give you a place to rank for your specific alignment.

If you should happen to fall in your travels and do not know your way back to your body, stand by your temples pit and wait for your god to place them there. In order to see if they have arrived you might wish to "examine pit" or even "look pit". It usually takes two or three days for your body to deteriorate and have your things placed in the pit. For those of you who do not walk a path of darkness a healer has the ability to Resurrect your body. See the file marked "help resurrection". "help death" should also be read. Advanced weaponry and armor should not be worried about yet, it does not make much of a difference to those who do not know how to use it properly. This should take you to your fifteenth ranking.
