If you seek an excellent staff of quality, consider the following:
a staff of nature's spirits: Ideal for a the balanced adventurer this wooden staff packs a wallop. It has room for your choice of premium socket and can be used often for a gentle kiss from a nature spirit. Once you pick one up, you are not going to put it down, that is a guarantee. Seek Torilar.
A staff named 'Retribution': This steel beauty will brighten the path of any kind heart who picks one up. It's fine craftsmanship ensures you will leave bruises on your foes and it can be accessorized with a socket. Legend has it the staff comes alive most when given then chance to unleash it's holy wrath on the unsuspecting foe. Seek Adelyn.
A rod of domination: Laden with power this ancient wooden staff is heavier than many, and it smacks very hard. Not for the balanced individual, but whoever picks it up will not be putting it down. Seek the Demoninicon.
A rod of light: Bathe your foes in light with this holy staff. Rejoice as warriors fail to knock it loose, and laugh thieves can't quite get a grip on it. Make it unique with the socket of your choice. Seek Blackwatch.
the Abbot's crystal staff: Corrupt hands cannot appreciate the feel of this crystal staff. It is highly magical though slightly less potent than the other superior choices. Simple and beautiful this staff is above all effective, once you wield it you will be hard-pressed to let it go at all. Seek it out in the Monastery.
The Pincer staff: A useful staff indeed. Made entirely of mithril and pretty heavy, this staff still bangs pretty hard. Popular among faeries and elves it has been known to help the fragile races survive longer in combat. Stick a socket in this staff and make it your own! Seek the Keeper of Crabs.
If you seek a moderate staff to serve you well enough, consider these:
The bone cane of Wohpat: Coveted by many this staff is one of the best around if you know where to find it. It's crafted from ancient magical bone and it can be adorned with a socket. Seek the Wohpat.
The staff of aquatic souls: Perhaps a lesser known staff, this watery weapon can be handled by anybody. Seek the Sea Lacedon.
A bone staff: What you see is what you get here. A solid staff of bone, comes blessed and can be used by anyone. Seek The chieftan's guardian.
A sturdy staff of mahogany: Similar to bone but lighter and made of wood. Seek a Ylsae faerie.
A Staff of Fangs: Arguably the best staff sold by a shopkeeper, this steel beauty is very handy. It smacks your foes pretty hard and it's known for lashing out and biting then feeding you precious life energy. Seek Gohrn.
The Power Staff: This wooden staff lives up to it's name. Anyone can use it and in doing so will shine forth with their inner light. Seek Arcturian.
A Frigid Staff: This ice stick is the poor man's bone cane. It doesn't hit all that hard, you never know when it will try to freeze your foes, but you can still put a socket in it! Good for anyone. Seek the envoy.

An iron shod staff: Hard hitting, iron but not too heavy. Seek the master of Neutrality.
a Long Handled Cooking Pot: Iron pot, long enough to be a staff, very light. Seek a Muscular Cook.
An ivory cane: A very classy ivory beating cane, is weightless too! Seek Mr. Halon
A weather beaten staff: Another average wooden staff. Seek the gnome's specter.
A reinforced staff: Average wooden staff sold by a shopkeeper. Seek a slith arms dealer.
A flame lance: Want to burn things? Seek the Blue Flame.
A staff made from steel: Plain staff sold in a shop. Seek the Guildmaster of the Armscrafters
A Blackened Staff: Another average wooden staff. Seek A heavily armed gateguard.
A Gal Ranidon Staff: If you want to over pay for a crummy staff, but help support the Duergar then seek Yueklar.
An awl-pike: Last but not least, when only a one handed staff will do, buy yourself an awl-pike by seeking out Igor the weaponsmith.
