Constitution of Corithera

The Nation of Corithera is a unified Council of City States under the rule of the rightful King. This allied force is meant to broaden and encourage trade, assist in the welfare of the various populations and aid in the defense of it's people.

Their Constitution is as follows:

1. All city states will retain sovereignty of their territory and are free to set their own laws.

2. All city states will be free to name their own representative to the Central Council.

3. As part of a whole, each city state shall contribute to the common defense and welfare, inasmuch as civilian projects, drafting of soldiers and taxation as decided by the Central Council.

4. All city states shall be subservient to the Central Council, led by the High King of the Coritherian Nation, in matters that effect the city states.

5. All offenses, criminal in nature, warranting capital

punishment shall be brought to the central government prior to the sentence being carried out.

6. The Central Council will be led by the King or his acting

representative in Aabahran. His vote will be equal to that of the other Councilors, however in the event of a tie, he will decide the outcome.

7. The Monarchy alone shall have power to declare war.

8. The Monarchy alone will be head of the military, this also includes raising an army and matters of command.

9. All citizens within Corithera will be guaranteed their natural freedoms, in that they may speak their mind as they choose, worship as they see fit and pursue their own goals in terms of factions or cabals without fear of persecution from the government.

10. All citizens are free to do as they choose with their lives, however, in times of war, conscription may become necessary in which case service to the nation would be mandatory. Such conscription will be at the discretion of the Central Council.
