Sea Elves, Vol. 2
Creature Compendium · by Academician Palwen Tansay-Enceladus-Daeyi-Merivan
Changes brought struggle. Life under the sea was becoming unbearable. Food and fresh water was plentiful, yet the lords believed more was needed. The elves of Rylsilesti were cut away from the outside world. The sea elf lord issued an order for ports to be built. Ships were built for sailing far distances. Trade became the major economy. Merchant sailors would travel port to port, trading and bargaining their goods and fresh fish. Gold and silver found from sunken ships were also sold for profit. As trade grew, so did the Sea Elven nation. Gold was pouring in and even the common elf was living in luxury.
But alas, one good thing would never last. Danger came knocking upon the the kingdom. Foul beasts that called themselves the Sahguin advanced upon the the sea elves. Ever since I was a child these beasts would come into my home and cause chaos. Many men and women of all races would come to our aid and still they return. The arrogance of the Sea Elf lord stopped him for asking aid of our cousins, the land dwelling elves. Fearing that because of our weak and forgotten relationship with them, he would be denied. With that, the sea elves are left to struggle against raids from the Sahguin.
It was until the year one thousand, the year of our goddess, when ties between my people and our cousins slowly became whole. Since the falling of Shasarazade, our people attempted to aid our cousins with myself leading. Upon the rebuilding of the new Elven kingdom, a countess and marques were appointed as ambassadors and counselors of the newly crowned queen. This indeed was a joyous day for all that share Elven blood. Family ties were awoken and mended. Still the sea elves live amongst the creatures of the sea. Following their way of life and continue to keep ties with our cousins.
